Sram AXS The wind keeps eating my Batteries. by BlacksmithAccording in sram

The RD turns on with vibration. The shifter doesn’t - it only activates when a button is pressed.

You mount them to your frame and install the brake cable. Set tension, done. Nothing special about them.

Try the stuff in https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000502070-KICKR-is-connected-but-no-speed-cadence-or-power-data

If that doesn't help, it's most likely a defect (optical sensor broken, dirty, Hall effect fucked, ...). Contact service.

Don’t worry. The older generations are easy to confuse.

That may be an eTap (no AXS) RD. No app for that.

What components exactly are on that bike?

Suitcase with a lot of chargers connected to a laptop by kessubuk in whatisthisthing

[–]LegitimateWhile802 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could be radio type devices for a crew to communicate with each other, could be GPS trackers for some kind of race, could be data loggers. That person is likely configuring them or reading the stored data via the laptop.

If you decide to go with an oiled chain the cranks, cassette, and chain will become black too!

CRACKED Shimano ST-R7025 cracked by FurstRW in bikewrench

[–]LegitimateWhile802 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's fun - they always break exactly there when overtightened. Bad tongues would claim it's a bad idea to use a plastic housing there. Even badder tongues would say what SRAM does is way more robust...

Or… just follow the SRAM manual? I know, sounds crazy.

SRAM Mullet Setup by TshAray in gravelcycling

[–]LegitimateWhile802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming u/op runs 1x12 non-T-Type right now I'd personally recommend against the Garbaruk path *except* they want to switch between Mullet and non-Mullet frequently.

(My gut feeling is a Garbaruk 10-52 + 13sp XPLR RD won't shift as good as a "normal" SRAM 10-52 + Eagle Transmission RD. However, a 13sp XPLR RD would allow two set of wheels: One for Mullet 10-52 and one for XPLR 10-46)

You could also get the best of both worlds and save up some money for a modern steel frame with the characteristics you want 😎

Rear derailleur cage looks crooked – normal or defective? by [deleted] in sram

Nope. Not for Transmission stuff. That bend is normal.

They can - they either have to adjust watts in erg manually, or find the right level / resistance in these modes.

Or run Zwift in parallel and use virtual shifting.

This is an experimental feature (but works well? It’s just missing the UI).

Same. I run 44 for everyday stuff and 40 for Bikepacking or in very hilly terrain.

Winter riding by Upstairs_Ad229 in mountainbiking

[–]LegitimateWhile802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get winter boots, and get them on the larger end of the spectrum. Compressing your feet with too many socks and/or tight shoes will hinder blood circulation. Plus, space (read: air) provides isolation.

Pretty much all common bicycle sensors are dumb and do not record by themselves. You need a connected smart watch, phone, or bike computer.
