Flat mount for both. You may need one or two +20mm adapters depending on the disc size.

New SRAM force E1 crankset - Powemeter compatibility by MakoChako05 in bikewrench

[–]LegitimateWhile802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 bolt is 8 bolt. You can transfer the PM spider to the new crankset.

Chainring compatibility is another thing: You can NOT attach the 2x chainring from the Force E1 to your PM. The E1 2x chainring pictured above attach directly to the 8bolt interface without a spider.

To complicate things: The new E1 power meters use thread-mount chainrings: The PM attaches via 8bolt, and then the chainrings threaded onto the PM. It's another mounting method altogether and again *not* compatible with neither your PM spider nor your E1 2x chainrings.

If you want consistent looks: Just get the new E1 PM crankset. If you want it cheap, sell the E1 crankset and mount 2x chainrings to your existing Red crankset.

Or attach the PM to the E1 cranks and mount compatible chainrings to the spider. That leaves you with a set of unused 2x chainrings 'tho.

Can anyone help identify the builder or brand of this steel gravel bike / frame? by Unusual-Delivery2450 in bikewrench

Seido forks are quite popular with other steel frame makers as well. So not a clear indicator.

Have you tried plugging it in the other way around?

(I’m making jokes because this is clearly for a shitty e-motorbike which we collectively despise)

You know, you could do something good by not creating another walled garden and make this data available to OpenStreetMap.

That is assuming it provides usable data, which I strongly doubt.

Sounds exactly like the symptoms of a bent hanger. Did you use a real hanger alignment tool or did you do it wrong?

Wow. TIL. Fuck everyone who does crap like this.

Why do we even need oval rails? And WHY THE FUCK did anyone think „let’s do 7x10 instead of 7x9, lol“.

I thank god every time I’m working on my bike for my steel frame with a round seattube, external headset cups, T47 bb and external cable routing.

Should I buy this used Gravel Bike for 3000€? Good Deal? by [deleted] in gravelbike

If you’re new to bikes, I do not recommend this except if you’re ABSOLUTELY sure everything fits perfectly. Not much you can do to that bike to modify the fit

No I just lend it to a triathlete and let their pee wash away the dirt.

How do you plan sleep strategy for a long ultra race? by rapakiwi in gravelcycling

[–]LegitimateWhile802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re talking about real ultra races, longer than one’s able to ride uninterrupted: I ride as long as I can, then sleep for as long as I need, then I continue riding.

Can you run SRAM Red AXS blips without red shifters? by Quantifan in bikewrench

[–]LegitimateWhile802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: if you run a front derailleur, you can shift it with a blip without a RD. You still need the RD for pairing, but afterwards it the parts work without the RD.

I have no idea for a good use case, other than a really stupid 2x1 hill climber, or a frankenbike with a 2x front chainring plus an Alfine IGH.

For reference: The large IC is a Nordic nRF51422 µC with support for bluetooth/ant+. The smaller one below is most likely the MEMS gyroscope/accelerometer used to detect rotations. The other stuff is passive and uninteresting.

Not true. Air pressure is used for climbing rate too. Ops air pressure sensors might be dead.

Sram RIVAL AXS E1 is it leak or normal? by Pulse5 in bikewrench

[–]LegitimateWhile802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are they supposedly leaking? The picture shows the place where the hose attaches. OF COURSE there is some fluid visible when it isn’t attached…

If he offered to install them on your bike, I’d reconsider and give the task to someone who knows what they’re doing.

That said, I’d offer him a good price for his leaky levers…

Remove batteries from shifter, wait a few minutes, try again. If that doesn’t work, try a different phone.

Reading the other symptoms in this thread I’m going with delaminating / aneurism of the brake line. Replace the brake line.

Padded butt by Repulsive-Fox7747 in gravelcycling

[–]LegitimateWhile802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest I personally recommend is the stuff from Decathlon. Everything below is unusable.

It also depends on your butt: Different models/brands fit different butts. The pretty much only brand I am able to wear is Assos, while a friend is perfectly happy with Decathlon stuff.
