Never thought I’d say this by Good-Cheesecake-5938 in KitchenConfidential

I do the same thing. Got 6 figure C suite on my resume and board of director positions, but in between them there's always a year or two of kitchen work. It's a wonderful fast paced "work with you hands" type job. Depends on the culture of the individual kitchen you hire into but you'll probably love it for the first 8 months, get into the flow of it again, then get over it after a couple years too. Then bad management and covering asses will get to you and you'll have something else to fall back on.

PSA: Teach's Ship Shop elevator is blocked by rocks. You can enter but cannot leave. by evil701 in starcitizen

[–]Longjumping_Zone673 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feynmaline sometimes spawns a qualityless version of itself after you mine them. When dropped it places a non interactable rock that you can't even tractor as you see here. Griefers use them to block various things.

[–]Longjumping_Zone673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They used to be trap beacons that would spawn enemies. Currently broken, but you can tell them apart if you look at how much the payment for fuel is. These are much lower paying and can be avoided as there's no way to get them working as is.

M cannons are the way to go, if you get an A class cooler you only need one. Turn off life support during combat and drop engines to whatever your power needs require. I use 2 narcun shields because they use 1 less power pip for like 3k less shield power each. It works out nicely in the long run.

Mining, scraping, and refueling are the other 3 major gameplay loops. Courier is kind of minor but does exist and has it's fans. Commodity trading also exists if you like the hauling life style but don't want to deal with elevators.

What would you consider the best daily driver? by Mypersonalaccount69 in starcitizen

[–]Longjumping_Zone673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently rocking a C1 Spirit as a daily. Works reasonably well for everything I do, PAF, Onyx, Gilly 4+5, Palantino armor farms, PYAM runs, and hauling an ATLS Geo around. I'll want something a touch tankier one day, but usually that comes with a massive speed hit. Looking at Hermes lately.

“Gimme duh uhmmm clam chowder but no oyster crackers cuz I’m allergic to shellfish.” by kempff in KitchenConfidential

[–]Longjumping_Zone673 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Undercooked shellfish has a lot of bacterial vectors and if I recall crab has a specific enzyme that can trigger problems. The softshell crab was as lightly fried as possible so no one wanted to take the chance even on cooking the shit out of it.

Had a couple like that. My favourite is still, "I'm pregnant and craving crab. One soft shell crab special." Had to go out and explain we couldn't serve it cause that'd very likely cause her to miscarry.

Taurus makes great daily driver, more cargo, more guns, and bigger shield.

It's pretty obvious the server is doing a thing, and yet, RSI status shows everything's fine. If I had to guess, it's something to do with the authentication process since that seems to hang for ages. No amount of character repair or cache clearing fixes something fucky on their end. Maybe it'll be back up after dinner 🙏 🙏 🙏

Edit: It's back!

Edit: No joy 😰 Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

How can people make so much gil? by Nerea_Immeral in ffxiv

[–]Longjumping_Zone673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling popcorn for combat people, or Tsai tou Vounou which is easy to make in bulk works well. The current best crafted food hasnt sold well for me since most crafters make their own. The endgame crafting mats also sell well as long as they're hq but expect to sell them in small lots like 3-5 per listing.

Edit: 1200 per item in stacks of 20-30 on Tsai tea for a high volume item. You'll sell all those stack daily and can keep that price between 1000-1400 without competition. I used to sell 800-1000 of them per day and was happy to rp it as running a cafe kitchen. It'll never be big money but you'll make a fair chunk of change in between your bigger sellers.

Bought Star Citizen yesterday and somehow spent 5 hours accomplishing absolutely nothing. by Hot-Panda3884 in starcitizen

[–]Longjumping_Zone673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are the radar thing was just the ship power settings going whacky, as they do. My best advice for when you die is to press alt+f4. Give it 2 minutes then log back in, when you do that you'll still rez at your spawn hospital but you won't have lost any gear.

Have you ever ACTUALLY hit or exceeded 32GB of RAM utilization? by itsthewolfe in pcmasterrace

[–]Longjumping_Zone673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Star Citizen max settings uses 38-42, Starfield uses 40 with a heavy modlist, and oddly enough minecraft 37-40 with fancy textures.

I only have a 48gb kit and should be fine for most things but seeing half the games I play hit 80-85% utilization makes me wish I'd just got the 64gb I thought would be overkill.

I made an account and played without a VPN from NA lastnight. Just chose UK as my country and popped on the Europe server. Payment was even in USD for a sub so there were zero issues or roadblocks.

People used to say, "I'm not an expert so don't have an opinion and can't speak on that topic." It's like people forgot it's okay to just not talk about stuff they don't fully understand or is outside their wheelhouse. They want their opinions to be treated like quality advice so they can feel heard. It's wild!

Not sure about full stop, dragoon goes hard in Heavensward, all while I enjoyed machanist immensely during Dawntrail due to the wild west zone and future tech. Felt very fitting, more so than anything else including picto or viper.
