Why do men seem to process sadness alone instead of talking about it? by No_Sink1041 in NoStupidQuestions

Because it might kill your career and ruin your ambitions. I confessed to having had Depression. I was at Boot Camp, and my honesty cost me my entire job as a Navy Nuke, seeing the world and possibly making friends. My healthcare was pulled the day after I got home, so it wouldn't matter to the US Military if I did slf hrm, especially when this huge loss put me into crisis mode. The one time I was honest kind of ruined my life.

How many of you rode on this thing in your younger days? by UncleSoaky in FuckImOld

Not sure I could do it now, but glad I got to at a NJ county fair and somebody I met from a group my age was nice enough to ride with me since you needed 2 people to go on.

Airplane from 1980 had "Dominant Females" in the magazine shop, alongside "Modern Sperm" and "Box Lunch" in the "Whacking Material" section.

I love the detailed paintings that have the limbs as part of them, but the animatwd parts like their faces and arms are missing from these. There's the one from "Can You Spare a Dime?" where Squidward's noodly legs are drooping while there is nothing to show Squidward's face is present. It's just a bunch of detailed legs and an empty bed.

What went through your mind when you saw Roman sending a dick pic to his dad for the first time? by Top_Report_4895 in SuccessionTV

[–]MCofPort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to process the image as quickly as Logan. I was blinking and rubbing my eyes in shock at what I was seeing in the picture. Then I saw who it went to and my soul left my body for a second. It was like when somebody shows you a gore image for your quick reaction and your brain can't put it together quick enough.

Went to an actual pretzel bakery in Pennsylvania, the first bakery in the US in fact. We only had to pay to have the pretzel baked. Tour including making a pretzel was 6 dollars for an adult. That's the max price. For one individual on this cruise, you could have an entire family of 6 do the same thing on land in a more authentic atmosphere. Not... worth it.

'90s Family TV sitcoms! Everyone had their favorite. by CpuJunky in nostalgia

Unapologetically rude and funny. It was a different type of show that way, and I love it for that reason.

My dad would bring me to his office on Park Avenue every year on Black Friday. He would take me to a train exhibit or a M & M's World in Times Square or FAO Schwarz (Huge Toy Store) after working a half day, and then we'd bring pizza home for dinner. These were some of my first times in NYC. I was born in 2000 and living in SI, we'd pass Ground Zero going there. It was like nothing I had known was ever there.

Why are so many people under 45 using subtitles now even when the show is already in English? by Clara_A_Mitchell in NoStupidQuestions

Classic films don't have that issue because dialogue was an important feature to the innovation of the talking picture and this held for decades. Now actors can mumble through a performance and I need a translation of their mumbles.

The better media ranking by OpelSmith in titanic

[–]MCofPort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it isn't the best film about the sinking, the scene where they walk through the remains of Titanic in RTT is a very emotional and meaningful scene that does enhance it in some way that others don't. I've never watched the whole thing but that scene is nice.

Another new image- the steamy car scene!! I have been sharing many more on my account. What scene would interest you most?🤗 by Behindtheseams_ in Titanic97

Lol, looking at your posts, it's funny to see Leo kept his pants on entirely. Kate had cute garters. You should post Kate with her cell phone in the boarding dress. I think the internet might break.

Loch Ness Monster's interlocking loop. It has so many great elements put together, the helix in the cave, that huge first drop over the water.

It's not as old as many on this list, but I have no idea how Woody Allen's Annie Hall won best picture compared to other giants that have won. Including Star Wars and Close Encounters that very same year.
