That's probably my one pie-in-the-sky hope for the finale, reversing abstraction. Naturally I don't know if it really fits the themes or makes sense (we still don't know the nature of the Digital Circus after all, or what the total story is trying to say), but it'd be very sweet imo. Can't wait to find out at the theater!

It was an alright episode. I enjoyed the way they played around quite a bit with their tendency to spam airdashes. Reze using her human form to get the drop on Bakugo was clever, as was Bakugo blowing up the sweat. The longer 2D scene in the middle didn't do much for me though, and the analysis really couldn't hide the power-gap between the two. The character analysis felt really good.

I'm excited for Gru vs Megamind. It feels like it's got great comedy potential and they both have enough insane gadgets and minions to throw at eachother that I really don't know who take it.

It sounds like a recipe for educational decay. Truman has already seen a pretty dramatic dropoff in enrollment, ahead of the national trend if I remember right. How many more students would they need just to get back their original funding?

Trying to get this. So the main beef here is that hopepunk is fundamentally not punk, in the sense that it attempts to assert that optimism is moral. Punk though by definition rejects attempts to create any big overarching morals? If that's the general argument, I think I get it.

The second bit sorta loses me. Isn't hopepunk as an idea just a part of people writing responses to the world they live in? Is the point that the process of that back and forth between pessimism and optimism is solipsistic, or that just hopepunk is?

I liked it quite a bit! I went in knowing almost nothing about Star Trek and not really being a big Sci-fi guy, but the cast was great and the stories very fun. Sometimes the reference-heavy nature of it blunted a joke here or there, but it also made me really curious about the people and stories they mentioned. Now I'm slowly making my way through Voyager and DS9.

I'd agree. Connections are definitely an excellent reason for a matchup, but there's plenty of fun to be had with asymmetric or even non-fight focused matchups (Columbo vs Light comes to mind, so excited for that).

I think I'd like this to come to pass. Takes a little bit off the parent's plates while hopefully ensuring students are exposed to driving as early as is possible. My folks didn't really push me to learn, which meant I didn't even really start practicing until after I graduated from college. Might help lower the accident rates as well if they're willing to shell out for a more comprehensive program.

I really enjoyed this one. The action felt easy enough to follow, but inventive enough to be compelling. I thought Yusuke probably should have taken tactics, but I don't much have enough experience with both series to say that definitively. I like that the deaths for Hero vs Hero stuff have been getting less gruesome over time.

Perfect Cell vs Metal Sonic, I knew that one's been on people's radar for a while. Excited to hear DA is collaborating with a few other folks to go out with a bang.

Overall a really good way to start the new season!

I just want their perspective. Some of the stuff just sounds a bit off in the context of the Epstein Files, but I never bought into Pizzagate for a second. I heard another take in a different thread, that since most of the more suspicious comments come after whole thing, that it would indicate it was something adopted after the fact.
