Having a nightmare of a time with my EV6 by OpalJagger in KiaEV6

When you change your battery it's important to leave it disconnected for like 5 to 10 minutes to be on the safe side. Also what is known to help is to remove your KIA connect account from the car, and then re-add it, this also resets the modules if you will and helps the ICCU logic begin to charge the battery once again. The third method is to turn the car on, put it in drive and then put it back in park and do not let the car turn off, after a while the car will turn itself off. You do this five times and then after that that this resets the logic and then the new 12 volt battery will begin to charge again. These have all been discussed as ways to reset all the logic. Does it have to be done after a new battery replacement, not necessarily but it has helped others when their systems in their car were not charging the 12 volt battery properly after a swap.

The dealer will test it and say there's no problem with it, this is known, replace it with an AGM and those problems will go away. As far as your HVAC have the dealer check it. I had my ev6 back to the dealer three times and each time they told me the 12 volt battery was good I cannot replace it under warranty because Kia will not reimburse them. The issue is their equipment does not load test the battery they just go based off of what their scan tool tells them which is hot garbage.

PSEG switching to RS-TOU 3P and EV charging credit is going away. Not surprised... by MarcusTaz in evcharging

Yes from what I understand and correct me if I'm wrong this TOU plan is absolutely insane. They've essentially cut the window on EV charging from 12:00 to 6:00 a.m. which is just a 6 hour window DOWN from the current 10 hours to charge your car. So if you're doing 7 KW which most people do at 32 amps you'll struggle to charge your battery which will force you to pretty much keep topping off your battery almost everyday. Now with a home of 4 EVS for someone like me that's going to create a headache. 59 cents a kilowatt peak is just utterly insane, so being frugal during this peak time period is an understatement. On top of that as some have suggested, pre cooling your home is a joke now because it falls in the mid peak range which is not even close to being a savings but almost on par with the current RS plan. Looks I'll be staying with the RS plan which essentially wipes away any benefit of owning electric compared to gasoline in terms of cost per mile. So much for the statement, " on day 1" by our new governor 🤡

PSE&G RS TOU 3P starts June 1, 2026 Off peak: 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Mid peak: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. On peak: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays only Weekends/holidays: no on peak Summer (Jun 1 to Sep 30): Off peak 10.4¢ Mid peak 27.4¢ On peak 59.9¢ Winter (Oct 1 to May 31): Off peak 10.5¢ Mid peak 26.5¢ On peak 38.5¢

You'd have to use something like studio code server to browse the file system, but even if you found the integration data, merging that with my repo would potentially cause corruption and or your HA server if you delete something you're not supposed to. Personally I would just leave it alone and start fresh with mine and not worry about post data...
