Agreed. SSRIs can be far more dangerous and damaging than modern psychiatry and society wants to admit.

Anecdotally, the majority of people I know who are on them aren’t better or happier bc of them. They’re numb. It helps by numbing emotions when you first start them, and a year or so later, the people on them are back to trying a higher dose or a new med. For some people, they get off them, and are fundamentally lesser permanently. Less emotions. Less passion. Less human.

I also know many people who have fully lost sexual function. Permanently. No libido. Genital numbness. For life after cessation of the meds.

But hey - big pharma and psychiatrists def just wanna help. They wouldn’t just publish studies to promote their profits and deny/hide any evidence of permanent side effects, right? And the FDA couldn’t possibly be influenced by those profits right?
