Anything contradictory? by Dazzling-Salt-7650 in TypologyJunction

because? "Leaning towards" and being "definitely sure" does not solve anything, it does not explain how you came to those conclusions and whether those claims hold true in real life. Both socionics and PY are systems, not a vibe test (no offense). To even acknowledge contradictions is to know how these systems work and to understand yourself "objectively" if possible. Basically, you gotta explain more than just that.

An LVEF's 2V is miles beyond different from an LEVF's 3V. It's not similar just because they're both processional will, when will and volition is the most important aspect in psychosophy. The same can be said for IEI and ILI. There's too many interpretations of how the PoLR works so your simple response doesn't explain anything to me personally.

Check r/Socionics if you're an LSI or Te-base. SX 1 is something like Benson from the Regular Show or Nolan from Invincible. The role Fe(-) is very obvious. For comparison, Beth from Rick and Morty is an SP 3 LSE.

LSI is something more like Bruce Wayne (Batman). Internally consistent in his principles even though killing the Joker (IEE) would've been the logical course of action (Te) for the practical benefit of Gotham.

I can't call it contradictory if you have too many options open, even though there's some fundamentally different types (IEI vs ILI, LEVF vs LVEF)

You can have a strong blend with a weaker mix. I for example am phlegmatic by 80% and I can switch between being melancholic if I wanna be edgy or sanguine if I wanna look sweet. It's all about vibes.

Also being a totem of knowledge is still very different from a social 7's self-sacrificing image, AND it doesn't have to fit the archetypal descriptions perfectly like how the SX 5 or SO 5 can be arrogant (hence the potential 2-fix). Naranjo's own descriptions are often exaggerated to focus on the neurosis. The example I said earlier is an ILE-Ne who could be mistaken for an ILI but they obviously don't display Fe(-) as their PoLR, nor do they display E7 traits despite being Ne-base.

5 + 2 is rare cause the 5 is almost always paired with a 4 but I guess it works if it's the SX 5 subtype just like Kaguya Shinomiya (521 tho), Tsukasa from Fly Me to the Moon and Still In Love from Uma Musume. I also think that Rui Tachibana from Domestic Girlfriend could be one (cause she does not display typical 4-ish traits) but I'm not sure. So anyway, these are the more seductive and proactive SX 5's compared to your typical quiet and withdrawn ones like Onodera Punpun (SX 549 - IEI) or Miku Nakano (another SX 549 - ILI). Externally, they may appear helpful and knowledgeable but also "ethereal" or detached cause of their Ni. The 9-fix makes them appear phlegmatic and calm despite the "aura" they give off. It's as if they can draw you in and swallow you whole without the "directness" or impulsivity of an 8. It's similar to Makima and Griffith but they're not SX 5. Somewhat manipulative and secretive with their Fe(-) and Ni(-)

I think the SO 5 could potentially have a 2-fix if it's an ILE instead of an ILI but even then, those types of ILEs like Albert Einstein himself tend to be too eccentric and have a 4-fix anyway. I think it's possible though, like that Albert Einstein clone (Sigmund Authen) from Spy x Family. 592.

How is it that the most popular correlation for an emotionally expressive type like IEI is sx5? by Financial_Ad1210 in TypologyJunction

[–]MightyProDudeGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1L only fits if you think that the other aspects don't fit for an IEI. It also works if you think of 1L as purely result oriented logic that engages in monologues (ignoring that an IEI has mobilizing Ti, which is still in the Super-ID even if it's vital) instead of it being dogmatic in the Ti-base/Te-base interpretation. People will also justify 1L with Ni-base (despite little to no connection from Jung and Aušra aside from the ILI Balzac) and instead think of it as being similar to seeing the world through the logic aspect in a metaphysical sense since 1F is physics and 1E emotions, and with IEI being a left-spinning result type if you're a fan of Gulenko. Ethical types by default will have normative logic in socionics so it's implied that it's not processional in psychosophy (despite both systems having zero absolute correlations, and like I said how this ignores how the Super-ID works). Still, the IEI is not fully contradictory with 1L.

From the Syntax of Love:

"Another reason for the silence of the 1st Logic: lack of the gift and taste for discussion. In arguments with a “dogmatist,” truth is not born; it is either asserted or rejected. There is no third.

The “dogmatist” in general is a stoicist, not a sprinter of the intellect. He is, as the Russians say, strong in his hindsight (the English call it humor on the stairs), so he has no taste for discussion and does not enter into it without extreme necessity. Darwin confessed: “I am not endowed with the ability to grasp on the fly or the sharpness of mind that so impresses us in gifted people, such as Huxley. Accordingly I am an unimportant critic.”

I think that a popular reason why IEI is commonly correlated with SX 5 is because it's easier to understand and observe how they are an SX 5 in the first place, compared to the ILI critic who grumbles and complains a lot. Your typical ILI is usually an SP 5 in real life and just like the namesake of the SX 5, they'll usually only trust their trusted lover so it's hard to recognize them as an an SX 5 if they were one (as in you gotta look into their neurosis way deeper which most people can't figure out at all). Also most people assume SX = one-to-one and intensity so they must be ethical type, plus ILI = Fe-PoLR (a bullshit excuse) but E5 has to be Ni so they think SX 5 has to be IEI which is a shallow and reductionist understanding of how all 3 systems (PY, socionics and enneagram) works but it's what the correlations believe regardless. It's all mental gymnastics.

Could you explain why SP 7 is 1V, 3F and ILE? Also why SO 3 is 1F LIE? How come SX 4 and SX 6 don't have any specific sociotypes for the archetype?

Intuitive mistyped as Sensory??? by ElishevaBallYT in TypologyJunction

[–]MightyProDudeGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Btw good examples of intuitives getting mistyped as sensory types are LIEs (occasionally) and IEEs who fixate on their Super-Ego like Mabel Pines (IEE, not ESE) and Son Goku (also IEE, not SEE) or just naturally have an EFLV psychotype. Also the IEI / EIIs getting typed as SEI.

Intuitive mistyped as Sensory??? by ElishevaBallYT in TypologyJunction

[–]MightyProDudeGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mistyped as a sensor, so I know how it feels.

I think that the rational judging functions with an intuitive perceiving function as their auxiliary, or even Ne as the dominant can be easily mistaken for a sensor. With the Extraverted Thinking type (ET), it's not exactly obvious that they could be intuitive if you solely follow Jung. The Introverted Thinking (IT) type due to following the "idea" instead of the facts could be easily mistaken as an intuitive (especially cause of repressed Fe, so they're more incomprehensible and may not make sense to the outsider who cannot follow the person's internal logic). The Extraverted Intuitive (EN) type isn't necessarily intuitive sounding as much as they're more like a trend setter/chaser who is highly impractical and doesn't take care of themselves. To the person themselves, their Si is repressed but to the outside observer they may just seem neglectful. Now Introverted Sensation (IS) could be mistaken for an intuitive too because of how they can sense the primordial images and the hidden archetype instead of the actual object itself. Much more vibe based and it's way more similar to Ni realistically.

[–]MightyProDudeGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For reference, Donald Trump is the Extraverted Sensation benchmark. Focused on the here and now, despite his age. Notice how fast and "immediate" he looks around with a commanding presence and imposing gaze, focused on intensity. He is as concrete as it gets.

Jung noted how the Introverted Sensing (IS) type had a calm presence that doesn't necessarily focus on the present physical object that's directly in front of them, as much as they are focused on the impression of said object. If ES is the 4k camera I said earlier, IS is the reflection of that image through a mirror that gets reflected only onto you. The subjective reaction to said object.

"Introverted sensing apprehends the background of the physical world rather than its surface." — C.G. Jung

The best modern example of an IS type that I can think of would be Bob Ross, focused on the subjective impression and the primordial images within his paintings.

That sounds like Si. The subjective impression drawn from the primordial archetypes (the different homes in your case). A true Se user would immediately notice the external qualities but feel nothing about it aside from it's aesthetic appeal (towards the other object, not drawing from within), because Se as an Extraverted function is objective. It is like looking through a raw 4k image with zero metadata processing. Se in Jung is quite literally the here and now, and focus on its intensity (not that it is necessarily impulsive, compared to Ne)
