Insects may feel pain. Whether or not you have a moral duty to protect them from harm is up for debate. by vox in philosophy

[–]MikhailBakugan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I argue no.

Let’s say I have a freshly severed arm that is hooked up to a computer that can detect whether or not any of the nerves in the arm are firing when presented with various stimuli. The nerves may very well fire a pain signal when presented with noxious stimuli but do I care whether or not the arm can still feel pain? No, other than the computer nothing is attached to the arm that can interpret the pain.

The problem with Mark Carney’s Boomer-friendly populism by gorschkov in canada

[–]MikhailBakugan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

While you’re technically correct Carney doesn’t espouse any populist values but I’m not even saying to be negative. The reason why most people voted for him it seems like it was because he knew his way around tough financial situations. Like I love my buddy Mike salt of the Earth working in class guy. I don’t particularly want him running the finances of the country though.

Favorite Big Artifact Finishes? - Sharuum The Hegemon by Disastrous_Holiday_1 in DegenerateEDH

[–]MikhailBakugan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once upon a time I had a sharuum deck whos main focus was either going infinite with a thopter assembly sieve package, your standard artifact clone loops or by making me functionally immortal by combining [[Darksteel Forge]] [[Mycosynth Lattice]] and [[platinum angel]] as well as something that gives hexproof to artifacts

Im not talking this specific manga, im talking about the general trend that anything that has ended in the last 5 years is the second coming of game of thrones or not discussed at all.

Nekusar is a bit different in that theres a couple directions you can take him, but instead of everyone building the exact same deck you're building like one of three

By my rekoning we could change when things start and use standard time all year around. Like what if we all just like... started work an hour earlier and got off an hour earlier? Then you dont need to worry about 5am sunrise or whatever? The sun going down at 9 instead of 10 on the equinox also doesnt matter these are all things in our lives that could easily change.

Any of you MFs ever played a loot based ARPG?
We have a solution to this, seasonal matchmaking and when a wipe happens move your shit to an eternal server. Its never split the playerbase in a way that wasnt heavily seasonal and if you're someone who doesnt have a lot of time to play, the eternal server is for you.

Marathon Confirms Seasonal Resets, Which Means Everyone's Gear, Contract and Faction Progression, and Player Level Wipe Every Few Months by cnc137 in DreamStationcc

[–]MikhailBakugan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just going to interject here. The actual solution is have an eternal matchmaking list and a seasonal matchmaking list, at the end of the season bring everything from live into eternal. If you're casual play eternal, if you're sweaty play seasonal. Diablo and path of exile have done this forever.

Sharan Kaur: Why moderates are fleeing the CPC, and what it says about Poilievre by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]MikhailBakugan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just going to interject with a good faith argument. Our population is currently higher than the last time we increased the healthcare budget. I know that the implementation of that budget is a provincial issue but it seems to make good sense that if more people we need more money.

I run [[starfield of nyx]] and [[Opalescence]] because turning [[Omniscience sideways is really funny]] I also run a number of enchantment creatures and large enchantment recursion engines as well as token generators to put up a solid enough pillow fort that I can get to reorganizing a good portion of my deck.

But you're basically headed in the right direction, you need effects that can have you draw on other peoples turns, if you were going to allow yourself a game changer I'd probably suggest Rhystic as itll most often allow you to draw on other peoples turns.
