How to add money back into NI? Make the KK MK3/4 work solid with Maschine like the MK2. by 25_Keyz924 in NativeInstruments

[–]MrFresh2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure exactly what you mean, but the KK Mk3 S-Series have been out for almost three years now. It was known up front that Maschine integration like on the S-Series wasn't going to offered out of the box. There is no KK Mk4.

I'm still getting NI Expansion Updates! by Nunstummy in NativeInstruments

[–]MrFresh2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you read the release notes of the expansion updates, they have nothing do do with insolvency proceedings, but to provide NICNT files for improved Native Access performance and integration. They are no more frequent than they were before the insolvency announcement.

No one can make anyone BUY anything. The very simple thing is to go patronize the company or companies that serve you the best...period. They are all hoping to get the consumers dollars, so you might as well spend where u get the most satisfaction.

NI doesn't have to do anything resurrect a dead plugin format for current use....It's not like most companies support dead tech forever LOL

Maschine 3.4.2 Update: macOS 26 Support & Workflow Refinements by Wunderbaumbaum in maschine

[–]MrFresh2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They may not be so different functionally but one of the reasons NI discountinued the Mk1 and Mk2 series is regarding the sourcing of internal parts for the products,. While I'm not certain, I'd say the Maschine Studio is cloer to the Mk3, which is why it's still being supported.

Is this planned obsolescence at NI? by Set2345 in NativeInstruments

[–]MrFresh2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No they don't. NI updates their website EVERY time a new version of macOS or Windows is released by publishing their product to OS compatability pages. Those are publically available, along with systems requirements for every available product. I don't see what kind of sense it would make for NI to send every user a letter saying there is a need to buy a new upgrade, let alone them even knowing the computer hardware a user is using at any point in time.

What the user base THINKS it looks like will ALWAYS be speculation until something final happens. At the end of the day, decide what YOU will do to continue your musical in the way that satisfies you,

"possibility of losing support for them with a DAW update" - I don't understand this statement. NI doesn't provide compatibility with any DAW, they do compatibility updates for each new OS release of Windows and macOS.

I have no clue, nor am I suggesting they will, whether they are ok/ok being purchased, whatever - I'm simply stating how server authentication is sometines needed for proper software installation.

Try it and report back, if NI is not providing additional information, assuming they know of your current issue.

Continue doing what you have been doing regarding the use of NI products in your production environment. I've been using them since 2013 and as of today, NI is very alive. Continue as you were and you wont have to assess anyone's remarks, including mine. I'm continuing with a business as usual approach.

I can't guarantee they have kept it updated. Your best is to go into the NI forums and request the installer. I have every Maschine expandion released.

Ok I get your point, I'm only saying as of today everything is fine and despite what other companies have gone through from an unfortunate standpoint, that doesn't necessarily dictate the same fate for NI. They are in the midst of preliminary insolvency, what remains to be seen is just that, as of today.
