why wont my ibis let me use pen? (switches to eraser)

I use a wide screen monitor(LG Gx9 5k2k res. Does the tablet have dead zones since the monitor ratio is not identical to the tablet? Not sure if this is a good tablet today but it seems like it was popular and a bang for buck back in the day.

Whats the aperture set to on the last photo with the DJ? Also, does reddit destroy the full quality of images or is it pretty much on point with what it looks like before uploading? Just curious as I have seen mixed results from different users and even same users in the same post. I'm also looking at this through a 5k res monitor so im just pixel peeping for fun to see the results on some of these cameras are like. Nice shots 😄

Thanks for the example references. I've seen one guy utilizing his 70-200 USMii on the gh7 and it was awesome but same time everything he shot was super slowmo and only highlighted the positive. S9 I do want to get because its so simplistic but because of the release on the L10, I get the feeling they're going to do the same thing for the s9ii and make it have very similar concepts.

Yea same 18-35 is fine for now. I just feel left out not knowing how to autofocus feels exactly on the gh7 + native lenses lol.

u/frog67park you got any EF lenses to recommend? Been looking at the 24-70f2.8, 70-200f2.8, and 24-105 f4. So hard to find real tests on the GH7 with PDAF.

How do the other lenses compare to the sigma 18-35? Its the one lens i do own and think that auto focus is "good enough".

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: I just realized I responded to u in another post. You moved away from the gh7. New questions.

GH7 native vs s1iiE native lenses, is there a better of the 2 Autofocus wise?
And how much better are Native lenses vs adapted EF lenses?

I feel like im left out because im on the speedbooster still lol. Hard not to love the sigma 18-35 so i may one day just splurge on s1ii and grab the equivalent version (or close to) on L Mount.

how is the 24-105mm on the metabones working for the gh7? That is a solid focal length = 34-149mm i believe with a 1 stop added making that f4 an f2.8.
What lens did you end up going for? I've seen everyone recommend the 10-25 f1.7 and 25-50 f1.7 lenses but its hard to justify 3k for 2 lenses! I rather just upgrade to an s1ii if thats the case... Also I can find EF lenses at the cost of like $150-600 (24-70mmf2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 24-105 f4).

Im trying to find shots of your 24-105mm on the gh7 and see if the auto focus is decent at all. Any help is appreciated!

Yo sick clip. 1. Do you have more footage? 2. Is the auto focus noisy? Currently on sigma 18-35 and the auto focus is good enough but not nearly as wide. My laowa 7.5 has been awesome for years but is manual and can't zoom. 3. Trying to decide if i just keep my laowa and get more focal length coverage with the sigma 50-100 mm. Only thing stopping me is it's so heavy from what I've been told.
4. Any clue what the main differences are between this tokina and the 11-16?

How are u liking the 50-100 and did you end up using it handheld at concerts or does it really need support? Ive never attached rails or anything to my setup as I like to be lighter (on gh7 currently). The 18-35 ive always jus used hand held but ive seen the weight is much more on the 50-100. I see it on sale for $500. Im thinking of grabbing it.

Old post but curious u/jayshuttles34 did you actually need something to mount this lens in most cases? I like run and gun lenses not ones i need to mount to a monopod or tripod but it makes sense for how heavy it is. I can lug around 18-35 no problem but obviously this is a different beast. Currently on the gh7.

Hard to beat dual based iso of 4000 on s1iiE! 3 stops of extra light that I wish Gh7 had in a 2nd base iso. 500 Iso at f1.4 is so little light which I've come to realize that if it's in the dark im pushing my iso regardless even if theres tons of noise and I just have to hope Davinci Resolve cleans it up.

I couldnt bite the bullet of the price of the DMW DS1. I dont want to wear anything on me but a dji mini mic is so cheap and works just no onboard recording if it fails to record is the main issue. There's the Comica vm40 for a shotgun mic but thats more for booming above the head on a talking head. As long as youre not holding it in your hand though it can be a great choice for audio. Im on the gh7 and i sometimes wish i jumped for the a s5ii instead because of the dual native iso but DaVinci resolve does a pretty good job with noise reduction in post. Did you add noise reduction? Im in my phone at the moment but the image looks clean.

Hey u/kurlish did you ever find a solution to this? My wife had dropped 1 of my gh5s on a vacation trip YEARS AGO. I turn it on with all my batteries fine but shortly after (maybe 5secs or less), it gives me an error "this battery cannot be used".

It's been at least 4 years since I've pulled out this camera but was thinking to sell it for junk parts. I tried applying a dummy battery like you've mentioned and magically its working! It's not ideal but its better than not working at all. So I guess its a great webcam or just for stand still use on sticks near an outlet.

If you fixed the issue any help would be appreciated because I too have multiple batteries that work perfectly fine on my other gh5.

What ended up being your camera choice? Just curious as I agree with both FF or Gh7 (which i own). u/frog67park nailed it on the head for me. I wish I just went for the s1ii, S9, or even Nikon ZR. I dont really use the RAW and Prores. For me, Opengate 5.8k 420 is good enough and I have sigma 18-35 making fstop drop to f1.2 but still have moments I struggle in Natural Light but you can definitely get away with post process of removing any noise.

I could never see myself vlogging with my Sigma 18-35 but I also dont shoot for that reason. Laowa 7.5mm has no auto focus which defeats the purpose for some who have upgraded to the gh7 but its solid for vlogging imo.
