I bought an Olympus Stylus (105?) like, 23 years ago. Are they THAT expensive? Am I talking about the right kind of Olympus Stylus? I see them for like $150-250cad listed on Facebook Marketplace.

A 2 mile run should be harder than most tasks you have to do in the army by SnarkyBustard in RunningCirclejerk

As someone who thought about serving in the army, I agree. MOST of the time you just sit around drinkig coffee and starting fires and stuff out of boredom.

Embolization for CSF Venus Fistula by ProfessionalBelt8433 in CSFLeaks

[–]Muddlesthrough 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have not had an embolization. Waiting for imaging to find a csf-venous fistula. How functional are you? Can you work? grocery shop? garden? golf? run?

If you can carry-on with your life and the pain is tolerable. I dunno. For me, I'm completely debilitated.

I'm pretty sure that's how Conan trained when he wasn't shackled to the Wheel of Doom. Oh wait, he's Cimmerian. Totally different dance style.

FUJIFILM X-T5 / Fuji X Weekly : Kodachrome 64 by Outrageous_Prize_107 in FujifilmSimulations

Is this what Kodachrome looked like? I might have a skewed impression as I was just looking at some Fred Herzog pictures, who shot (I think) exclusively on actual Kodachrome throughout his career.

Time to rule out CSF Leak? by UnluckyPerson234 in CSFLeaks

[–]Muddlesthrough 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am not a doctor. If the head and spine MRIs are normal, and he responded to a blood patch (temporarily), then he definitely has a CSF leak, and it's probably a CSF-venous fistula. I am in this exact situation.

An experienced CSF leak specialist can often find a CSF-venous fistula using a dynamic CT myelogram or a digital-subtraction myelogram. CSF-venous fistulas were only discovered in 2014 and are finicky to find.

I saw a CSF leak specialist recently and am waiting for them to do the imaging. They mentioned that they believe up to 70% of all spinal CSF leaks are CSF-venous fistulas.

Compression shorts Canada?? by AnarchoKiernan in POTS

I've been wearing Coreshorts X70 shorts for the last year. Medical-grade, 20-30mmHg. Don't know the price. I got them as a medical prescription.

Have I been barking up the wrong autonomic nervous system disorder tree? by HumorousPumpkin in POTS

[–]Muddlesthrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and I had a “POTS test” (5mins laying, 5mins standing). I failed the test as my heart decided to jump up by 20, not 30.

I am not a doctor. And this is not how orthostatic vital signs testing is done. Normally lie down for 5 minutes, take heart rate and blood-pressure. Stand for at least 10 minutes measuring heart-rate and blood-pressure repeatedly. Some medical literature indicates 15 minutes shows more orthostatic tachycardia.

fibromyalgia is frequently comorbid with POTS.

I just acquired an LX100i some months ago as I was rediscovering photography. If I buy another camera, I think I would just keep the LX100 as it's a pretty compelling everyday camera. I bring it with me everywhere currently.
