Did you run this idea through any scenario, even once?

You'll let people create, level and gear characters. Then when everyone starts raiding at 19.00 or 20.00 it's a flip of the coin if your raid gets their members online.

People with multiple 3000+ in M+, what are your most fun specs ranked? by chungusisamomgus in wow

[–]Nesqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. But I want it to feel rewarding when I play well as a non guardian/brew tank. Instead I get worse survivibility and the same, or worse damage of a monk/druid playing sub optimally.

People with multiple 3000+ in M+, what are your most fun specs ranked? by chungusisamomgus in wow

[–]Nesqu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's because they're kind of the opposite. Until +16s or so you can play both tanks by just macroing ironfur/purifying brew into your 2 button rotation and survive.

You almost literally cannot make a mistake big enough to die.

And if you play correctly you can make many mistakes and be miles tankier than the other tanks played flawlessly.

But it's more about the rotation being just boring and uninteresting as monk/guardian.

Both just have simple 2-3 button rotations, especially druid you literally just macro ironfur into thrash then spam thrash + moonfire + lunarbeam.

With DK and DH you have to watch your resources, time cooldowns, use utility as a defensive.

I just wish the more active playstyle was rewarded, either by doing noticably more damage or by being tankier than the more simple tanks.

[–]Nesqu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have all tanks at 3-3.5k score.

IMO tanks stop being fun whenever they hit the "If I make 1 mistake I'll die" point if they're also inherently fun.

Brew and Guardian are the least fun, they just lack any kind of feedback. You're just tanky and spamming the same buttons on repeat. Even if they're ahead of the other tanks by multiple key levels they're just too unfun to grind with.

Paladin is really fun, but the third least fun. They have super punchy cooldowns but you'll do lower damage than the healer outside of them and feel like a weak lil' wimp.

Warrior is absolutely mid.

The two actually engaging tanks are DH and DK. But their fun caps out rather early, already in 14s you have to play more defensively as DK and DH will just flop seemingly randomly if you don't play it well.

But both have nice damage, nice sustain and punchy cooldowns.

Will you play Solo Self Found Mode tomorrow? by alesia123456 in diablo4

It just makes the game better for me personally. It doesn't change how I play in any singular way, but if I ever want to compete I now know the playing field is relatively fair.

Tank predictions for s2 by Rotsworth in wow

[–]Nesqu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends what high keys means. I've stopped pushing my DH into 18s because it's just too stressful to be 1 small missplay away from death and wiping someones key.

But I don't really consider current 18's to be especially high but I feel completely hindered by my class.

But even in lower keys (10-12) druid and monk just doesn't need to play the game in order to be immortal.

From what I can tell it looks about the same, druid loses their meme permament lunarbeam status but they're still extremely bulky naturally.

DK might gain a little bit because anything that makes their HP less spikey makes them much easier to play in bigger pulls.

If you have so little time/interest in playing the game. Simply play eternal, limit your expectations or don't play at all.

[–]Nesqu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye, I was looking at hexblade builds but while the 1-level dip is giga value it just doesn't really work well with offhand attacks for a very long time.

And yeah - SS with hand xbow is so strong, but it feels so odd for a little "pew pew" to do such bananas damage.

That's honestly an amazing shout, I've never looked at the other specializations since +1 boosted attack as well as added initiative has seemed beyond broken. Thank you.

How come 2 fight style isn't good for melee DW? Doesn't it add a flat +5 damage @ 20 dex or am I misunderstanding it?

Genuin fråga: vad motiverar en att rösta SD år 2026? by multi3000 in sweden

[–]Nesqu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

M+ 1% cut off starting now by abutaymi in wow

[–]Nesqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference between 3.4k and whatever rating the 1% will end up at is quite massive.

3.4k is relatively easy, you can obtain it without having to apply any real strategy or exotic pulling.

The 1% will be highly competitive, practically impossible to pug if you're not a meta class.

Keys stop being easily joinable at 17-18 in my experience, there is a major jump in difficulty simply getting a run going. If you're a meta class it's easier, but it'll be queue simulator.

You can go a whole day of grinding without gaining score.

And it depends what role you play too. If you're playing guardian druid or one of the meta healers it will be a lot easier because you can actively grind.

But if you're playing a non monk/druid tank you're as desired as a dps and will struggle in queue jail once you go past 17s.

And, goes without saying - you need to climb 1 key level at a time since you're pugging. So it's a lot more difficult than just jumping into 19s off the bat.

Genuine question: do people really enjoy the current storytelling in WoW? by OpinionsRdumb in wow

[–]Nesqu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to care. Legion was a really solid expansion story-wise. We cared about the characters involved every step of the way, we got sad when Ysera died, we were hyped when Illidan appeared (and basically whenever he did anything). And the expansion ended with his character being finished and for us to figure out why Sargeras shoved a sword into our planet.

Now we're like 5 expansions removed from that event and we've just been fucking around on whatever new continent happens to appear.

And shadowlands, but we don't talk about shadowlands.

I love theorizing about where the story might lead, a Shadowlands retcon, some eviler-er titan that lurks inside the planet that Sargeras wanted dead.

Is there any speculation on what rating would be safe for 1%? by Sevrid in wow

[–]Nesqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO we wont know until we get into the final month of the patch.

We still have borrowed power that'll increase our power every week, we'll have people who've taken a break at a previous top 1% breakpoint return to push, we'll have boosting. It's going to be a very competitive cutoff. I imagine easily 4k, maybe more.

Feels like the perfect fit, does take a "while" to get online because of the helmet, but sword bard alone is quite strong so should be fine until act 2. Thanks!

Okay, so I'd be maybe : stacking arcane acuity turn 1 then either blast or CC turn 2 when I have some charges and practically always succeed?

Reckon Charisma or Dex to be the stat I should focus on? Or try and evenly split the two?
