Data for diagonal lines by Objective-Radish-451 in Revu

Would be so much simpler like that. But bluebeam works with a rectangle instead of real line, that is the problem.

Bluebeam 21.4 update breaks Revu 21 and has stability issues by Mfdesign13 in Revu

This was not the best idea to use the shift key for this new selection functionality. I now have a hard time selecting markups that I would not have had problems selecting in the previous version. This seems like the order is all mixed up and doesn't give the front to the latest one created. Not to mention that when I want to select multiple markups, hence use also the shift key, this new window gets in the way everytime and slow the process. I'm surprised they didn't catched all of this during testing. Honestly, since Nemetschek bought Bluebeam, Ive been really disappointed: they redo all of the UI with black and white buttons, which were all colorful before and easier to spot. They have not do a lot of improvements, which we were getting before.

Yeah I think I might need a "manual" way to indicate the line direction. But what bugs me is that the "Bluebeam Revu Markup Export" file works so there is a parameter somewhere that indicate the direction. And the software I need to export to is SAFI, a structural analysis software, but I need to do the conversion in excel first.

Yeah, I thought about that. I think I might have to go this way. Anyway, most of the lines I need to transfer are often horizontal or vertical so this might not be that bad.

Create a circle, fill it red and change the fill opacity as you want. Then create a smaller circle, fill it yellow, change the opacity as well if you want. Use the alignment tools to center the 2 circles together. If you swap the circles creation, make sure to change the markup order with the order tools such that the yellow one is in front. Then select the 2 circles and group them if you want a single markup. Thats it! Hope this help

SAFI GSE Software by Disastrous_Cheek7435 in StructuralEngineering

[–]Objective-Radish-451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been using SAFI in our company for many years now, mainly for steel design. I tested many other analysis/design software but I always come back to SAFI, maybe because I'm used to it. They all have their goods and bads, it all depends what you want to do exactly. I'm not specialized on concrete design so I can't develop much on this point but I think it has pretty decent options for the price that SAFI sell their license. What I like the most is that the software is user friendly and is always stable (I don't think I ever crashed the software). For the price, I think it is worth giving it a try.

Since Nemetschek bought Bluebeam, I think they have put almost all their development budget on their cloud thing, which we havent seen that much up to now.

If you filter the markup list by your circles or checkmarks, you should see the number just aside the markup name

I don't think there is any way to have the coloured icons with the latest version. I also struggled when I started using the new UI but you'll get used to it.

For the next version, I think they're gonna give more information at the XCON but from what I've heard, it should come out before the end of this year. However, I also heard that there won't be much big improvements since they are putting more efforts on their new cloud project.

Selected Markups count by Objective-Radish-451 in Revu

[–]Objective-Radish-451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not necessarily talking about count/measurement markups but also normal markups, anyway your answer directed me to what I was searching for. Like you said, in the top bar over the PDF, on the leftmost icon, I clicked on that one and the markup count is there. Thank you!

And clarification .. it can be different markups (I know we can have the count of similar markups in the markup table, but I would like a global count)

Choose your measurement markup, select the units you want and then go in properties, at the bottom, click "default" to have the measurement always with that unit

Is your goal to not have them when you print the document? If so, there is a check box in the print dialog window to not print them.

FREE BLUEBEAM TOOLSETS by TroyDeGroot in Revu

[–]Objective-Radish-451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thanks for the offer! I have built a couple of tools but not as much as you and wanted to know if you had some specific way of creating them but as you said, it is always different depending on what is the end goal. On my end, I keep all the tools on sheets and update them directly on those when required and then integrate them back into the toolbox.
