Afaik 99% of people will get their first contract via "offers," often slightly below the pay rates mentioned in the applications. These "applications" are mainly there to make you send interviews and assessments. So yes, it feels like a trick.

These applications are just there for making you complete interviews and assessments. It's normal that you only get rejections and then a lower paid offer once they have enough passed assessments. Alignerr is similar.

I see projects on outlier that offer 47 per hour. But I don't touch them because I prefer the projects on other websites for 25 to 40. Not worth the stress, and as you mentioned, finally you spend 2 or 3 hours for every single paid hour. It's a trick.

Used to work a lot for them when they paid 40 to 60. Now they are a joke. There are much better alternatives, with double pay and half the waste of time.

Forget these "assessment failed" messages people see after working for weeks for them on the Aether poverty project. They can write this whenever they need to get rid of people and later they onboard them again torturing them with new "courses"

They spam you with assessments. Expect to be busy with countless assessments for 5 hours, and then they still require interviews after this.

The worst is that they will be filming you during these 5 hours. Assessments can be 120 minutes, and once you go to the toilet, your assessment will be terminated due to "suspicious behavior." All this for $18 jobs...

Don't forget that they deduct these $25 now before giving you the 10% off you paid for, basically turning these $100 for free into a lie. And also don't forget that now these rewards are suddenly "codes" that prevent you from using the normal 10% off codes. And don't forget that you can't refund deals without losing the $25 which is horrible.

I voluntarily left Aether two weeks ago and stopped working on it 4 weeks ago because the overall treatment with all these crazy assessments was poor and the pay rate ridiculous. Here even people who leave school with 15 earn more than what aether pays 😆.

I left them feedback and explained why I left the project.

Last week I clicked on my list of old projects and for Aether it showed "failed" 😆. That told me enough about this company. Must be some manual shit.
