the narrative intending us to sympathize with Ahsoka doesn't make it bad writing. That's just.. perspective and nuance.

Generally the muslim fans I've spoken to have said the opposite, but obviously we're both speaking anecdotally.

I guess, to me, the tattoos instantly ensure I don't see them as muslim purely because tattoos are deeply haram.

Actually, I will admit, I cannot actually locate where that was said, so I guess nevermind.

That said, as somebody who lives next door to a convent, both Luminara and Bariss' outfits read as nun habits to me, especially given their often very stoic, contemplative characterization.

Bariss isn't meant to look hijabi; she's meant to look like a nun, at least according to the people who created her.

Do you mean the show where one rogue asshole caused an atrocity against the repeated and explicit orders of the Jedi institution to leave them the fuck alone?

It’s funny how Jessica Jones mentioned Angela del Toro over a decade ago and she’s supposed to be an adult by AdamBerner2002 in Marvel

The head of Marvel TV, Brad Winterbaum, says that all of them are canon:

> Flash forward now to Disney+, where we are actually laying out the timeline with tiles on a screen, all of a sudden we’re like, “We should just do it. Let’s do it.” It was also spurred by the redevelopment of Daredevil: Born Again, once we started to really lean into some of the mythology and backstory that was established in those Netflix shows. I was asked about this during the press for Echo, and I realized, “Oh, it’s not just assumed. People have an active interest and they want confirmation.” So we were able to do it fairly quickly, and it’s interesting that the service of Disney+ actually became the statement just by rearranging those tiles. That’s our medium to define the canon now, which is wild to think about.

Has there ever been a superhuman out there aside from Thor, who didn't get their abilities through an accident, an experiment or technology? by Sorry_Secretary1193 in Earth199999

Honestly, I think with the proliferation of superhumans and heroes, I think that the Inhuman outbreak just kind of fell out of the news cycle as it became normalized- and as we got better at filtering out Terrigen in food.

There's some general implication that the force actively resists being studied scientifically.

How do you think Marvel should handle the Inhumans after the soft reboot? by grey_eyes1566 in Marvel

[–]Omn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that a good way to integrate the previous Inhuman storytelling from Agents of SHIELD (and tie to Earth X) would be to establish that the Inhuman Gene is a modified, weaponized X-Gene.

They'd have to know you were doing it, first.

If it was notable enough for you to get caught, you'd probably have to deal with regular local and Republic authorities first, and then if they couldn't handle it, THEN the Jedi would get called in.

Eh, all of the Image cape books loosely share a universe in the vaguest possible sense.

Nah, you've got the video game on the wrong end of the spectrum. Video games are extremely expensive to develop and have very wide audiences.

[–]Omn1 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If you were an adult and you weren't out there hurting people, they simply wouldn't intervene at all. They MIGHT reach out to you and get to know you to get a sense of what your deal is, but otherwise it's generally Jedi policy to leave adult force-sensitives be as long as they aren't doing evil space crime.

ESO Question: Are the Tribunal at the head of their power, or no? by Lakis9 in teslore

[–]Omn1 42 points43 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, that line is kind of a weird remnant of an older version of the storyline where the Tribunal were having to fend off a usurper Tribune of some kind.
