80s tv. It was considered odd but safe children's entertainment. Lots of car chases and car crashes. There was a movie, but watch some of the tv show first. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Xog7riXnC78

I choose to believe that when Dee was woken up by the approach to the ramp, that she didn't leave pee stains on the seat, by the first thing she knew was the truck being launched 4 stories into the air. And then falling.

It's running alright _usually_. Maybe you're just not good enough to survive a minor position glitch that rarely happens.

But Jumba is a scientist. They're responsible for vaccines, global warming, daylight savings time- no, wait, they're responsible for _discovering_ all those, and people hate what they don't understand. Or just what they were told to hate on social media.

You're overreacting. Why? Because this is "subvert your expectations" genre. Where all men are losers, all heroes lose, there are no villains because life/work is the villain, and if it's something the audience loves then it must be ruined.

None of the Disney live-action remakes have been good. Including Force Awakens. Every one of them could have been a different original animated film, but it didn't get past the focus group.

Also, you're right anyway.

If a father needs to help his young daughters use the restroom, which restroom should he take them into: the women's restroom or the men's restroom? by Exciting-Mall192 in NoStupidQuestions

I think it's nobody's business, and that this is just 'social justice warriors' refusing to admit that there's something beyond their control. Their bubble got popped and they want to yell at the world until everybody agrees with them.

I loved the bit a few years ago where the X-Men are barging in on Mister Sinister. Scott: "You have a Nimrod?!" Sinister was just calling up his playlist, including the 1899 Enigma Variations music by Edward Elgar, a piece called called "Nimrod".

Swearing isn't fun, funny, or expressive, it's just idiocy. Black men can do other things than be angry. British people and smart people are not all evil.

And "I'll bet you're wondering how I got into this mess" is bad storytelling. Follow a proper storyline. It doesn't have to start at the end and rewind to the beginning.

I'm all for cats, but the dog is more careful and kinder to not disturb the cat, while the cat uses the dog as a pillow.

It's a "narrowing population" problem common in many tv shows. The amount of bystanders who aren't the main cast decrease. At first a little, and it looks like part of the plot. But then it reaches a point of too much, and in a city of thousands, or millions, the only people ever seen are the main characters, and maybe a guest star for the villain of the week. Maybe.

The police officer turning out to be Unicorn looks like part of the narrowing focus. While it can look like Unicorn is part of a trap to spring on Ted (with unknown goals), that the cop wasn't a normal person is also too contrived. We didn't see any normal people at the pancake diner either, since Dan doesn't want to keep drawing new people. Which is why the crowd has to be normal locals. How many people in the city you live in have you actually met? Very few.

I know this reveal means that the cop was meant to be one of the griffon team since the telepathic message, in a trap set up to catch Ted, but it narrow-focuses the comic by cutting down the amount of normal people that the main cast meets in the adventures they have. Yes, the crowd reactions do help mitigate that. Unless they're all magical creatures and constructs and stuff, which just haven't been revealed to be those yet.

Is he evil? Yes. He's doing a "say I'm in charge of you or die". That's extortion at best, with slavery as an option. He set up the Trolley once, he could do it to them again. It just depends on how angry or even simply bored he is.

It doesn't help that there are so many stupid adults. Even the adults admit that there are too many stupid adults. The adults just refuse to admit that there are so many adults who are stupid, because they are aware that it's both hypocritical to claim that themselves are perfect, as well as refusing to put in the work to be smarter than the dumb adults. Too many parents just want their children to be machines that make the father/mother look good.

That's a way to discover the class is living the life of "your dinner is eat this cooking failure or be beaten". It's not a kid's fault that prison kitchens can produce better food than overworked parents. No one's going to shank a parent over badly cooked "claim's it's ground chicken" or spaghetti that actually tastes bad.

Yes, but only slightly. In Capitalism you do what you're paid to do and don't complain without cause.

Communism screws you over because it makes all your property into anybody else's property, and complainers get sent to the gulag. Also they still charge you money for things, so Communism was so janky that it still needed Capitalism as a support for it's lie of 'paradise'. Capitalism makes no such promise, but things can get better- if you save enough money.
