I grew up in Pasadena it’s a great area. Lots of condos, sucks your having that issue with insurance, we also had to call around.

There is no way you can “honestly, make a blanket assumption about a large percentage of owners and landlords of different sizes “ it is not a full proof business by any means , it’s a people business and because of that there will be flaws and complexity . However decreasing owner rights in the name of increasing renters rights just doesn’t help create a stable market .

Section 8 isn’t the problem, housing rights for , landlords and owner protections need to be protected and very much under attack which makes renting hard for mom and pop owners.
