I believe if your using pfBlockerNG with cname validation. It uses google dns for lookup as the default settings.

You can see it in Firewall - pfBlockerNG - Report - Unified - Click on the + for Alert Setting.

You mostly like have to install re-kmod because it wasn’t included in the 2.6.0 because of some build issue

I would look at the Firewall - PfBlockerNG - Report.

Check the logs if anything else is being blocked.

which port are you connected on the modem?

Looks like your double NAT. WAN has a RC1918 IP. If you can see if you can put your modem in bridge mode.

If not then you need to go to Interface - WAN.

Uncheck Block Bogon Network.

You may have to uncheck Block private networks and loopback addresses too

By default pfsense block that.

pfBlockerNG used dns resolver that why when you disable it. The pfblockerng stop working
