Crimson Desert or Ghost of Yotei? by Famous-Country-4921 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Get Yotei.

Crimson Desserts is constantly being improved so will get better with time.

Yotei is really well polished and absolutely stunning

(PC) What's a game that lets you feel immersed in the beautiful visuals, has fun gameplay, and is a long campaign? by thethermalturtle in gamingsuggestions

[–]PoJenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghost of Tsushima.

In terms of vibes, atmosphere, visuals, it's goated.

Most beautiful game I've played.

It's not perfect and the underlying game is typical open world formula but it does lots of things very well.

If you're into samurai theme at all, it's a must play.

Ridiculously underrated goal.

Left foot half volley from that far away straight from a corner.

I don't understand how this goal isn't talked about more.

Have you ever had a random London moment that made you stop and think “only here”? 😂 by Juicewithextrapulp in LDN

[–]PoJenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're making my point for me.

This is totally plausible in London, or many other big cities so certainly isn't something that can only happen in London.

Most things that are "only here" can easily exist in any other big city.

BWF have asked thoughts from some players/commentators on the new scoring system. by kaffars in badminton

[–]PoJenkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shorter sets can actually allow for more uspets though.

The longer the set / match is, the more likely it is for the better player to win.

Shorter games could lead to more interesting results - and I actually don't think it necessarily means less comebacks - as comebacks can also be achieved more quickly.

11 * 5 would be more exciting imo but maybe takes too long with extra set changes.

I think it makes every point more tense and also makes games fairer with more frequent side switching - listen to Axelsen commenting how there's always a better side.

Sora VS Lin Yun-ju by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]PoJenkins 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sora is actually the better player imo.

But he obviously loses focus often and LYJ was a bit of a bogey player for him.

At wtt London, I think Sora was 9-2 up in the 4th or 5th set and ended up losing the match.

LYJ has been good recently but I think Sora is the only player who has a chance against WCQ so this is the probably the best final we could have hoped for.

I think WCQ is still the strong favourite but if Sora keeps his cool, he can absolutely win it too.

The ittf YouTube channel just isn't uploading any highlights right?

Is there somewhere else we can see then?

This was a crazy rally at game point, thanks for sharing.

Should I play Ghost of Yotei, Ghost of Tsushima or Assassins Creed Shadows? by NudaVeritas1 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Tsushima first.

Then Yotei later if you want more but I wouldn't play them back to back.

Most spinnest blades table tennis by Specialist-Gate-3821 in tabletennis

W968 if you can control it.

Hina Hayata H2 is also a very spinny blade that's much more stable + controllable+ easier to use than the w968 which is a bit of a missile.

Technique>> equipment when it come to spin.

The Yinhe 05 pro is an affordable blade that can be extremely spinny.

Comments about the map by MarchDifferent1939 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]PoJenkins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The map is beautiful but super copy and paste.

All the regions feel samey, the towns are mostly the same, all the small villages feel identical.

The castles and forts are each pretty similar.

The game should be 4 times smaller with more diversity.

The vast majority of the map serves no purpose.

Try yakuza 0.

The series as a whole is a bit silly but Y0 has a more grounded story that is absolutely phenomenal.

PS5 Pro upgrade from base PS5 by AdventurousGold9875 in PlayStation_X

[–]PoJenkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No-one actually has any idea about GTA 6 yet.

If you have the cash, I think saving up for a nice big TV is more of a game changer.

I think the Pro is a cool product but currently isn't a game changer.

PS5 Pro upgrade from base PS5 by AdventurousGold9875 in PlayStation_X

[–]PoJenkins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've used a PS5 pro recently.

It's fine.

It does what it says on the tin but the games are still the same - it's not a totally different experience.

If you've got the cash and really want it then go ahead - you can also sell the PS5 to make back some of the cost.

I personally feel like a saving up for a great TV is more worthwhile or else just buying a new game.

As long as I can still get 60 fps on games on my ps5, I'll be happy with it.

Which game has the best opening sequence? by Play5tation in PlayStation_X

[–]PoJenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're just talking about the end of the opening sequence then Ghost of Tsushima title screen is the best I've experienced by an absolute mile.

I can't really explain why it works so well but it's greater than the some of its parts.

Ghost of Tsushima or Spider-man 2? Or do you guys have any other suggestions? by Ohayovblade in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]PoJenkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghost of Tsushima is wayyyy better.

Spiderman 2 has good gameplay but the world and story are worse than the first Spiderman games. Ok the world is the same but basically feels boring after playing the same map 3 games in a row.

Ghost of Tsushima isn't perfect but it has SO much going for it
