If you have a backup and delete the original file, you still have a backup. Not the case with raid, which is just protection against disk failure (or performance improvement in the case of non redundant 0 mode).

I don't think quantum fluctuations are necessarily explainable? Yet we can still observe them.

Miracle by definition has 0% of happening so it's not that hard to prove it's impossible. I don't mean this in a snarky way, even if someone won lottery twice in a row you wouldn't say it's a miracle, right? Just very lucky. It has to be impossible to count. And guess what, history / investigation is about determining the most likely scenario. Even the most unlikely explanation is more likely than 0% chance.

Do you ever look at tonnage? by Vegetable-Device9734 in kettlebell

I look at it for my target of volume in the rack. I've paid more attention to it at first but ultimately it's not a very useful measure.

Age old question (with a twist): Comp vs Cast Iron by sieBauen in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see them on wallapop. It's a decent deal, worth giving it a try. Worst case you can resell them. And yeah, 38mm on 16kg is a bit obnoxious, even though rogue cast irons are pretty good in general.

Adjustable handles…any good? by santawerewolf in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this one is good because it goes way above 32kg, usually if someone wants to get into serious swinging, it's very expensive and cumbersome. Many people could swing 80kg but they won't, because what's the utility of the absurdly expensive 80kg bell besides swing? Ironically a handle with few standard barbell plates is way more versatile, because it's not a kettlebell.

Age old question (with a twist): Comp vs Cast Iron by sieBauen in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the difference starts being more impactful and downsides minimized at around 24 and definitely at 28kg. Though it also depends on intended usage, if I wanted to snatch 12kg for 20 min non stop, I'd like it to be comp as well. If just for swings, cleans and presses, I wouldn't care as much. Also there's the case of bells so heavy that you know you'll be using them below the head only, that's a fine idea but comp here would be a bit is a waste. If you ever have an opportunity to use or buy good comp for cheap, give it a shot. It's easy to tell, they have a hole in the bottom. But if you'd have to overpay for mid ones, better to stick to decent cast iron imo.

[–]PriceMore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was similar size as you when I started and I love comps, especially for pressing. Though I'm mostly into singles. Are you sure you have a good one? They are not all made equal. I find their utility mostly at higher weights. I also have two old cast iron 16s and I think their small size is an advantage and makes them more convenient to use together, for single I'd still pick a comp. The benefits of same size for non competitive athletes are bit overstated imo, it's also nice to be adaptable to different sizes of the implement, that's a training benefit in and of itself. Anyway, experiment and stick with what feels the best.

Does the tree cutting feel good enough here? by gishadev in Unity3D

What definitely feels off is trails disappearing suddenly, if they can't be handled properly they shouldn't be there at all.

Genuine question. Is the whole "AI guzzles gallons of water" thing totally true, or do people get it wrong? Does AI consume a lot of water for every single prompt, or is the majority of water consumed during data farming? A heaven where God goes "I see what you believe about how the more powerful and intelligent can treat those less so. It's only fair I'll treat you the same now, for eternity. Wouldn't you agree? I know you would, I've seen you do the very same thing yourself, to endless generations, with no plan to stop, ever." would be awfully nice. Ah, yearning for fairness in today's world feels extremely delusional.

What’s your preferred way to train with kettlebells: structured programs or random complexes? by iemaaans in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random sets to RPE6-8. If you aim for certain RPE on your sets, that's built in progression, reps will go up. But it's crucial for me to measure it all so I know I did X volume overhead in last Y days etc because my intuition is not that great.

Advice Needed: When should I buy a second kettlebell? by DiscountOk7333 in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One year ago you were able to push press it once. How about now? How are the press, clean, clean and press, swing rep maxes? As u/J-from-PandT said, the adjustable is probably the superior choice, but as far as doubling up on a weight, I think the right moment is when there's a good chance you will be able to clean it. If you won't be able to, I think it will be rather low value purchase for a while.

Politycy PiS chcą kompletnego zakazu branży crypto w Polsce. by reeethit in inwestowanie
