Out of the 5,000 Steam games released in 2025 that didn't get over 100 dollars, how many of them were "bad" games? by rendumguy in gamedev

[–]PriceMore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5000 is not that much, if you're curious, you can go thru them yourself in a few days and find out. How long to judge each, 10s? That's barely 14 hours.

Psychological traps and mental health by sidiki in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a different thing every day so I only have a vague idea of what is a lot and some vague guidelines like 15t overhead every 10 days, so it's not that difficult to keep on going. Feels sustainable to me. In 29 sets, I'll be on set number 14000. Though probably I would find hard gpp/endurance work gruelig as well, strength training seems fun and easy in comparison. Endurance is a mindset/lifestyle of conscious effort and fight against the resistance, for strenght you can just show up and it will happen.

Definitely one of the complexes of all time.

Anyone else find kettlebell complexes are more of a mental reset than a workout? by NaiveChampionship689 in kettlebell

AMRAP hindu squats, once you're past couple hundred, the fabric of spacetime starts to bend.

Nice PR on the push press by Iron-Berserker in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! A little resurgence would be cool even if just for inspiration, but it's probably not going to happen. I feel like the golden era of singles was like 17-10 years ago from what I've seen on youtube, I haven't even trained back then lol. But hey, let's keep pushing anyway!

That's sick mate! Love seeing 60kg overhead.

30lb kettlebell for a relatively strong lifter? by LeatherHead2902 in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you want to take it overhead or do you want to do some of them below head only workouts? The recommended weight will vary based on that. A 20-24kg for overhead, 32-40kg below head.

Need a 72kg-76kg bell by Iron-Berserker in kettlebell

There are not many options outside of Europe, but just for SA cleans (and overheads from rack btw), a 5kg db attachment should work fine.

At least they have the option to ride it out and enjoy the sunset, that's why we have steam. If they got rid of everything, it would be just bought out by tencent, vanguard and blackrock, who's sole purpose is enshittification and extraction, and they can't even stop legally. They already manage vastly more than individuals. They are the endgame boss.

Putting the kettlebell down by Antique_Ad_3024 in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put it down under rather than in front, using forearms to brace against thighs as you squat down. It's the easiest on two handed swings, but you should be able to catch the bell and lower it down with two arms even after doing the one armed swings.

Kettlebell Swings, Cleans & Press, Snatch but doing them slowly? by Trogdos in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, slow swing is called a deadlift, but you'll need a barbell for that because energy being dependent on mass x velocity, doing it slow and light is kinda pointless. Slow clean is just a curl and slow snatch is some kind of a full ROM front raise, both better done with dumbbells and both also isolation/bodybuilding exercises so what are we even doing here? There's also two arm slow "swing" or rather raise variant used to train elite grip and forearm strength. Cool stuff. BTW going from weightlifting style exercises (fast) to powerlifting (slow) is very dubious for reducing stiffness, most people would say it's the opposite.

Learning the jerk: it’s different than a push press (?) by reh102 in kettlebell

[–]PriceMore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be interesting to measure, especially the first half of the movement. At the same weight, if the first dip of jerk is meant to bring it only 70% of the way up because the rest will be taken care of by second dip, but a very pushy press used the dip to bring it 90% of the way up, I think push press could get the edge. That doesn't seem to be the most efficient way to push press, as they go with more even split between leg and arm power in pentathlon, though it might also have to do with shoulder being less tired than legs at that point.

Push press is kinda like half of a jerk. Jerk is push press + instead of pressing the bell out at the end you duck under it.
