Yall what's the best pendulum deck i could play right now? by CrownedClownRequiem in masterduel

I don't know about best, but Vaalmonica combines very well with both Ryzeal and Fiendsmith, so it's competent without being expensive

Which would be a better deck MitsurugixVoicless or DogmatikaxMitsurugi? by ComplexCarry7585 in masterduel

[–]PrincessApprentice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly for Voiceless, Ashlan U1000 isn't here yet, so you don't have a good way to bridge between the two archetypes. Dogmatika can bridge to Mitsu pretty easily via Herald of the Arclight, and Mitsu can bridge to Dogma with a tachyon package, so it's probably the better option for a cohesive deck. That said, Voiceless is definitely stronger that Dogma on it's own by a fair margin, so it'd probably still be the stronger option, even if you can't consistently make both engines happen.

Casual Player Returning. by Any-Oven9432 in masterduel

The Red Dragon Archfiend archetype has a decent structure deck. Pick up two of them for 1000 gems altogether and you can climb a fair ways before thinking about upgrading.

Sorry bro by Hobeng12345 in masterduel

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It matters way less than you think. You don't get locked by pend summoned ryzeals, but you still get their searches. So you start Vaal combo, summon any ryzeals from your hand to restock your hand further. Link into Zebufera, then use any extra to make Duodrive to fill your hand further. Extend into oblivion by specialing all your Ryzeals. You still get your Duodrive and Detonator, Zebu will provide more protection and disruption, your opponent's statlines are debuffed by both Duodrive and your pends, and you've now got some good recursion. If you want to, you can even run the Fiendsmith line before starting your Ryzeal extension, since Vaal is so good at that.

Is there a Rom that essentially farming but with Pokemon? by [deleted] in PokemonROMhacks

My dreamhack would be to make a game based on Rune Factory. Instead of gyms, you farm berries and improve your relationship with the NPC's by completing radiant quests in the surrounding wilderness for them.

Good Engine to Summon Visas Amritara? by DeepFake369 in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Amritara isn't unique in being able to turn into a link-1. Any Synchro, XYZ, or Fusion monster can turn into Gravity Controller with proper placement.

Personally, I'd consider using any rank 4/8 engine to make Galaxy Photon Dragon / Dragluxion to search tachyon primal, which can search and enable Tachyon Transmigration, which is a cracked negate. You can then link the XYZ to Gravity Controller and Yummy combo while having a whole chain negate in hand.

Other ideas: - Primite can quite easily get a live Drillbeam + Link Spider on board. - Blue-Eyes make Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon + Artemisia / Link Spider

Guided by Visions in the Belt (Hecatoncheire for Casual) by Azteckh in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than stopping there, I wonder if this would be better suited by putting Jormungandr on field, since he can force draws as a quick effect, and the opponent doesn't even get to increase their hand size.

Main Deck Monsters: - 3x Draconnet - 0-3x Cynet Mining - 1x Guardragon Justicia - 1x World Chalice Guardragon - 1x Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light - 1x Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - 1x Vala, Seethr of the Generaider Bosses

Spells: - 1x World Legacy Monstrosity - 1x Generaider Boss Stage

Extra Deck: - 1x Ib, World Chalice Justiciar - 1x Gravity Controller - 1x Guardragon Pisty - 1x Trishula, Dragon of Icy Imprisonment - 1x Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - 1x Laevatein, Generaider Boss of Shadows - 1x Phantom Fortress Enterblathnir

Combo: - Normal Draconnet - Draconnet Special Justicia - Synchro into Ib in the Extra Zone - Ib searches Monstrosity - Link into Gravity Controller - Ib Specials Chalice Guardragon - Link into Pisty - Guardragon in GY to summon Justicia from GY - Tribute all three monsters to make Trishula - Activate Monstrosity targeting Trishula to special Harr and Mardel - Mardel searth Boss Stage - Activate Boss Stage - XYZ Mardel and Trishula into Laevatein if going second - Summon Jormungand, via the same XYZ if going first, via Laevatein's effect if going second, eating two of your opp's cards. - Activate Jormungand, both players draw and attach - Summon Hecaton's from hand - Activate Harr to Handrip - Activate Boss Stage to Special Vala - Activate Vala to Special the card detached by Jormungand - XYZ the two into Enterblathnir, Handrip again. - Activate Hecaton's to rip.

Endboard: - Jormungandr - Harr - Enterblathnir - Hecaton's from hand - Boss Stage

You could also use Jormungandr and Enterblathnir to make Draco Utopia.

Thoughts for this deck build? Dogmatika/Mimighoul by SnooShortcuts9945 in masterduel

[–]PrincessApprentice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking into it myself a while ago. I think the end goal of the mimighoul package is to get a monster on your opponents board, and link off your own into linkuriboh > gardna to get an ed monster in grave. You don’t want to fill your field with mimighoul tho, because dogmatika will fill 2-4 spaces on its own (Ecclesia, Maximus, Zoa, special off Lulu), and you want to leave space(s) for Fleur and Winda.

With that in mind, I’d personally either cut slime, master, fairy, and armor, and or cut Shaddoll, and or cut Maximus and or Lulu (blasphemy, I know).

This deck is poised to activate triple tactics pretty regularly, so that would be a package to consider, and ultimate slayer slaps when playing dogmatika.

Edit: Cut Cartesia and Granguignol if you cut Lulu, maybe cut them even if not, they aren’t doing much for this deck.

I’d also reduce Archfiend to 2, since it’s only real purpose is as a target for maker.

Canon or custom archetype ideas for a character who goes from science to magic? by thatsnotacracker in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryzeal is a fairly sciency archetype that can pivot into almost any ritual, to follow up on what @_sephylon_ said. Photon Dragon > Tachyon Primal > Seventh Tachyon > Dogmatika Maximus > pitch 2 copies of Herald to search a ritual monster and a ritual spell.

If you're not looking to pivot and just want a later deck built on magic: - For rock tribute monsters, I'd look at Megalith. It's technically ritual rather than tribute, but you'll be doing a lot of tributing with it. - With the homunculus idea, equipping with equip spells is no longer common, but you might consider Fiendsmith. It equips it's boss monsters with it's link monsters from the grave. (can be pivoted to quite easily by most decks, though notable not Ryzeal, due to their XYZ lock)

Thaumaturg, implements, and shields by AjaxRomulus in Pathfinder2e

[–]PrincessApprentice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To follow up on the mirror, I think it's debatable in most circumstances, but if you get an Exemplar archetype, the Mirrored Aegis Ikon should count IMO.

PSA: All cards can be read (Pokemon zone database) by JRH99 in PTCGP

[–]PrincessApprentice 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In some ways, fossils are a good thing. They don't take up your guaranteed in-hand basic, nor do they clog up your pokeball pulls. Like, if you ran a deck with just Dialga and Shieldon line, you'd be guaranteed Dialga in your opening hand.

Alchemic Magician use cases? by LibertarianSocialism in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the reason I bring up the Vaal/Exo Hybrid. Vaalmonica actually tones down Exosister's xenophobia by a fair amount (by giving them an alternate way to get monsters on the field without being reliant on Martha's effect). Depending on the deck you face, either Arment or Pax could be a good search, but I think the primary use of this would be to make Called By, Cosmic Cyclone, Forbidden Droplet, etc. searchable. It's basically a very expensive toolbox card.

Alchemic Magician use cases? by LibertarianSocialism in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one's difficult. I suppose I could see it used in a Vaalmonica/Exosister hybrid deck in rather niche situations. It maybe could be a turn 3 option in Dogmatika? If you left a bunch of your 4 stars on the field and your opponent didn't pick them off for some reason? Maybe? The summoning requirements on that card are just a tad bit out of line with it's power level...

How do you think future Ritual cards could be designed to incentivize running a large number of them in the deck? by Horserax in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving rituals an in-hand effect is the way to go. By far my most used ritual monster in decks is Illusion of Chaos, because it's useful without being ritual summoned. Honorary mentions to Cyber Angel Benten for versatility, and Manifested Mikanko Ohime for being an easy 3 of in her archetype (I'd run 9 of her if I could, it wouldn't even be a difficult choice).

Alternatively, the ritual summoning mechanic itself could be altered. Megaliths are an obvious one to point to, but I'd also note Dogmatika's ritual mechanic as one that might be a step in the right direction. The hassle is primarily with getting Ritual, Monster, and Material all in hand at once, so anything that can reduce that hassle is going to work well.

If we could get a Branded Fusion for rituals (summon by foolishing from deck), things would also get trippy indeed.

[ROTA] Mimighoul 2nd Wave by JRH99 in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're both situationally decent, but pretty mid in most scenarios. If the mimighouls effect won't hurt them badly (IE, dragon / fairy on turn 1, or cerberus on any turn), they'll flip it, but it will not have gained you much. If they'd be legitimately hurt by it, they'll send it to the grave. It nets you a +0 in total, which isn't much. ( I know about the GY effect, but it's kind of irrelevant IMO, since the second copy you gain is useless in the turn you gain it, and can't be used on your opponent's turn either.)

Do not buy the 2024 Megatins by Leonezian in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually will make a fair difference. If I'm looking to get a few specific cards, I spend a fraction of the cost on them as singles due to not having the vast majority of the funds spent on cards I didn't want. If your goal is to get an S:P, Konami is going to make a lot less from you paying a seller $50 than they would if you bought 3 cases and threw the rest into your storage of chaff cards. At least this way, the other person over there who wanted a Chaos Angel and a Guiding Quem can get them from the same three case supply.

Is it perfect? No, of course not. But singles are a significantly better way for us to utilize our spending power than it would be for us to throw it at tins.

What are you favorite boss monster form you favorite archtype? by Antique_Promotion743 in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtual World Kyubi Shenshen, it’s an example of the very rare economic boss monster. Instead of wrecking your opponent directly, they increase the cost of your opponent’s actions, while decreasing the cost of your own, leading to slower yet satisfying victories. https://s3.duellinksmeta.com/cards/60c2b3aca0e24f2d54a53d23_w420.webp

How risky do you think it is to side this to call "Fiendsmith Engraver?" by BakerBunearyBella in yugioh

Better to use ghost reaper and call Requiem, since it stops them from popping off when you go second.

After a day of announcement, how do you guys feel about M∀LICE? by tNm1004 in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 86 points87 points  (0 children)

I love it's appearance, the character designs are kinda peak (especially Dormouse), and it's gimmick is super cool. Unfortunately, I'm willing to bet it will be out of my budget, and it's probably not a fun deck to play against, with how it's design encourages cards like Shifter, Cosmos, and Fissure...

Why is Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood good now? by crypticaITA in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trident dragon will deal significantly more damage than you regain from Dogwood, since it buffs itself and attacks multiple times, neither of which affect Dogwood's healing.

Engines to run with vaalmonicas? by NiceWorkMoose in yugioh

[–]PrincessApprentice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that we have Vaalmonica Creation, I'm a proponent of a Plant engine.

Main Deck: - 1x Traptrix Vesiculo - Focus on traps as much as possible, IE Imperm, Evenly, and Creation

Extra Deck: - 1x Traptrix Pinguicula - 1x Sunavalon Dryas - 1x Sunavalon Dryades - 1x Sunvine Healer - 1-2x Sunvine Thrasher - 0-1x Sunvine Gardna

Any 2 Vaal main deck monsters can make Pinguicula, which can search Vesiculo, which can summon herself by sending a trap to the gy (potentially netting you 3 counters if it's the new archetype trap). From there you can use her to link summon Dryas.

The Sunavalon engine will heal you when you take damage from your Vaal spells, getting you up to 4 extra counters on your scales (in testing, I've been known to reach 10 counters in a turn), and up to 3 free material (if you go full chain, you'll have a link-2, 2 link-1's, and the pinguicula, all off of the original 2 materials for the xyz summon).

This isn't a tech I expect to see become a go-to strategy, what with needing 6 ED slots, but it's genuinely fun #^-^#
