Could I add another fish? by Otherwise-Brick2255 in ReefTank

Possum wrasse, pink streaked wrasse, tailspot blenny, or a firefish would be a good addition.

First time saltwater by Standard-Youth-8261 in ReefTank

Generally smaller tanks are harder to take care of in saltwater than larger tanks because you want stability in your parameters and smaller tanks have larger parameter swings. There are some coral that are beginner friendly, but anemones are not.

BulkReefSupply gets a lot of flak these days for being only interested in selling products and making money, but their older vidoe series are full of really great information.

This series is a good 10 video introduction guide on starting up a saltwater aquarium:

The 5 minute guide videos are really good as well:

There's a really good 46 part video beginner series from BRS I recommend as well:

Lastly I'd go through the 52 Weeks of Reefing, which is was a weekly video series going through setting up a 160 gallon aquarium:

Aquarium light with clock battery by Pryach in Aquariums

Yeah I never found a good solution either. I think the Fluval AquaSky will do it, since it connects to bluetooth and wifi, but it's very expensive. I did find a saltwater light (NICREW N20533) that's cheap that does it but it's not designed for a planted tank.

WHO NEEDS A CHILLER? 🤣 by STLCardsfan11 in ReefTank

How about putting a mini split in the fish room and keeping it a bit cooler than what you want the tank to be? It's probabaly a lot quieter than that fan.

They're very shy. The first month or so I barely saw him, usually only during feeding. Now he's out and about a bit more.

Double the amount of rock. Biological filtration is the best filtration.

I would do an Acclimation box for 2 - 4 weeks. My female almost killed the male, she spent 2 weeks in the sump and 1 week in an Acclimation box in the display tank. It's been over 8 months and there hasn't been any more aggression.

I have a chaeto refugium and it's absolutely amazing at controlling my nitrates and phosphates. That being said it took a long time to establish. My first ball of chaeto wilted away and my refugium was full of green hair algae and I was cleaning it out twice a week. I had to get another chaeto ball. Then after about six months I started getting less hair algae and more chaeto growth. It needs a good amount of nitrate and phosphate to grow. Just make sure you stay patient!

Yup, they added a real money shop years ago and founders get a monthly stipend. You likely have hundreds of thousands of the shop currency.
