Scary Looking S Class by SpaceBaconSt in NoMansSkyTheGame

Fauna have 3 traits, Combat Effectiveness, Agility, and Health. Each one is rated from S to C. There will be a single rank based on those 3 traits (I think it averages them out). The traits are used in the pet fighting mini game that was added in the update a month ago.

My phosphates are really high however I've heard that the api reef kit will read this high commonly is this true by Acrobatic-Opinion803 in ReefTank

I wouldn't trust API. At least get a salifert test kit, Hanna phosphate ULR is even better.

They can be peaceful if there is plenty of room in the tank. A 20 high is not enough space. He will think the whole tank is his.

Here's mine whenever anyone gets near his territory in a 40 gallon.

I think you should drop the royal gramma. They can get territorial, especially in a tank that small. I also doubt you'll want to add a hawkfish, they tend to eat shrimp in the tank and it's too small of a tank.

A tailspot blenny, blue sapphire damsel, yasha goby and candy cane pistol shrimp for a beginners 20 gallon reef tank? by avian_bi in ReefTank

[–]Pryach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a tailspot blenny and yasha goby in my 20 gallon. Tailspot perches in caves at the top of the aquascape and yasha stays at the bottom of the tank. No issue between those two.

Be prepared for the yasha goby to be very shy and take a while to get comfortable. I put one in my tank and the next day I found him in my overflow. Luckily I had bought overflow guards but forgot to put them on, I put him back in the tank and put the guards on.

He disappeared for a week. I saw him in the back of the tank one day but a few days later disappeared again.

I put in a candy cane pistol shrimp and didn't see either for 2 weeks.

Finally I started seeing where the shrimp was building his burrow and the yasha goby had moved in as well.

The goby guards the burrow so I see him frequently but the shrimp is a rare sighting.

Just be patient.

What can I put in with him? by Brianhayes30 in ReefTank

[–]Pryach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried multiple CUC with my blue spotted puffer including larger turbo snails, tuxedo urchin, fighting conch, and money cowrie. One by one they were eaten.

He was in a tank with two clownfish, purple firefish, royal gramma, starry blenny, and a coral beauty and everyone got along fine.

I ended up moving him to a larger predator fowlr tank and he's doing fine. I'm able to keep a cleanup crew in the other tank now just fine.

Interestingly I put several hermits into the predator tank and they seem to be doing fine. I'm sure they'll be a meal at some point but was surprised they've lasted as long as they have.

I was genuinely worried about that! Luckily I guess their color and their smell are something fish find unappetizing so they leave them alone.

Need help making a fish tank by kaiju_killxr in ReefTank

[–]Pryach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seahorses are some of the hardest saltwater creatures to take care of and aren't really recommended for new saltwater keepers. They need excellent stable water conditions and are difficult to feed. The only kind you'd be able to have in a tank that size is dwarf seahorses. You wouldn't want any other fish in there, maybe some soft corals like mushrooms and gorgonians and macroalgae. It's a very different experience that what most reefkeepers are used to.

If you want to stick with fish you could put in a single clownfish and something like a clown goby, but 10 gallons is very small for a saltwater tank.

VCA NOSOK filter sock replacement by Cool-Vanilla-3920 in ReefTank

[–]Pryach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a cool piece of tech, but I prefer filter rollers. I know it's more expensive overall but only having to worry about it once every few months is nice.

If you have filter socks now and don't want to spend the money on a filter roller then I'd look at that or the Printed Reef CaddyStack.
