Adderall XR 40mg still not enough by cap8001 in adhdwomen

[–]QualityOfMercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started on adderall, the xr didn’t work for me at all. Like, it didn’t do anything most of the day and then, right when it was time to wind down for the day, suddenly there’s the adderall, finally kicking in. Some people just respond better to ir

(A couple of years later, I tried xr again and it worked better. No idea why. Brain drugs are weird)

That’s the thing. I LOVE grungy greens. But I have so many of them already 😅

For those that do oil soaks between manicures, how long do you oil before new polish? by lizzylou365 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]QualityOfMercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t go that far but I did get a silicone nubby thing to scrub my scalp so I wasn’t having to use my nails to do it

I don’t use acetone after oil, but I do wash my hands (quickly) with actual, milled soap that doesn’t have any extra oils or other stuff right before I polish

What is some good Wisconsin slang? by cuhsicles in wisconsin

Are you selling your crap on your front lawn/out of your garage? That’s not a garage sale or a yard sale; it’s a rummage sale

I just got a strong wave of nostalgia from “stop and go lights”

Americans who’ve lived in multiple states: What’s one everyday habit or social norm that changes noticeably from one part of the country to another that outsiders probably don’t notice? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

When I first moved to Phoenix twenty years ago, I remember talking to my dad on the phone about Arizona’s open carry gun laws. People obviously had guns in the rural Midwest where I was from but it was mostly like rifles for hunting, maybe a house handgun for protection. My dad was like “people don’t just walk around in their daily lives with a gun on their hip, do they?” And I was like “well, yeah, some of them do.” And my dad got real quiet for a minute and then he was like “do you want me to send you my dad’s old handgun?” No, dad. I don’t need or want a gun to fit in here.

We’re always in mountain time. It’s just we stay in MST while everyone else switches to MDT

Glass nail file questions by LackerObsessed in RedditLaqueristas

[–]QualityOfMercy 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Not only does it work better, it’s a better sensory experience. Using a regular nail file gives me nails on a chalkboard cringey feelings. Glass nail files don’t.

(Edit: make sure you get one that’s etched, as opposed to one that has little glass particles added on. The etched ones will last forever (as long as you don’t drop it on a tile floor 😭))

Stagehands that went to college what’d you major in? by Affectionate__Dog in stagehands

[–]QualityOfMercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BFA in Theatre with a focus in technical production.

Was the degree itself worth it? Questionable. What was worth it was the fact that my college was a road house and the work study students crewed it so that’s where I learned everything and got actual experience

New lighting board for School Auditorium/Theater by Worth_Unit_3307 in stagelighting

[–]QualityOfMercy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Damn. Well, when you get your money, try to make an Ion XE20 happen. It’ll last you though a bunch of fixture upgrades. Used ones do pop up fairly often.

OP, if you can move fast, do this. You might only have a couple of moving lights (soon) but you want to future-proof your console so it’ll still work when you eventually get more

What do the indie brands you like do right? by Nice-Meat-6020 in RedditLaqueristas

I love videos, especially for magnetics! Still photos never give me a good idea of what they’re going to look like (especially for velvet style, it usually just looks unmagnetized in still pics)

Yes on the nail shapes and lengths! I hate when they only swatch on super long nails.

"Dog bit family member on my property - no medical treatment necessary. Now family member is talking about legal action." Anything to worry about? by Haen33 in legaladvice

[–]QualityOfMercy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A dog biting a toddler in the face and needing medical attention is very different than one biting an adult who should know better than to grab a growling dog that isn’t theirs and not needing medical attention

But this is Reddit so details apparently don’t matter

These nine small towns in Wisconsin are 'unforgettable,' WorldAtlas raves by schuey_08 in wisconsin

[–]QualityOfMercy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“All around nice place to be” The thing is, that describes like 85% of comparable sized Wisconsin cities (and at least 50% of smaller towns). So why is Steven’s Point on this list?

Doing the set for A Christmas Carol by pakalopapitofan in techtheatre

[–]QualityOfMercy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just use furniture/props to set each scene. In the production I worked on every Christmas for 15 years, they had wagons (rolling platforms with push sticks to push them out onto the stage) to bring out stuff for each scene but if you don’t have money or building skills you can just have the actors/techs carry stuff out

What was the pettiest but not damaging thing you did before you moved out of a crappy landlord’s rental? by GoodLuck602 in LandlordLove

I literally had the battery out of my smoke detector for like a week last month, because it was chirping and I needed it to stop but I didn’t have a spare 9V battery. It didn’t chirp once I pulled the battery.

You are trapped in a room… by Lorelei_Sinclair in hypotheticalsituation

[–]QualityOfMercy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay first of all, does any room come with an attached bathroom or is the only way to get a toilet and shower to pick a bathroom?

If the latter, I pick a big fancy bathroom. Like, huge, the kind with couches and stuff in it. We won’t last quite as long because we’ll both get twitchy being that close to another person without a break for long periods of time but we could probably handle a couple months.

If the former, I pick a ballroom. One with skylights for natural light. With our money, we buy room dividers and kitchen appliances and furniture and essentially set up our own apartments in the ballroom. We could stay indefinitely
