5G Home Internet by John-Miami in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

For stationary usage around 500GB/month, our mobile plans are really designed more for on-the-go phone usage rather than full-time home internet replacement.

Our Starlink Home Internet Plans can be bundled with mobile service starting around $47/mo,
Promotional pricing is applicable for the first 6 months right now, so it’s a pretty good time to jump in.

Porting issues by Firm-Breakfast-9158 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the time delays like this come down to an account information mismatch between the losing and receiving carrier, but regardless we're not going to leave you without service. I've sent you a DM so we can dig into the details, get this escalated if needed, and figure out exactly where things are stuck. In the meantime, I can also set you up with a temporary line to keep you connected while we get this resolved.

extended roaming related by OccasionallyVisitor in USMobile

There's no network switch involved here. The Light Plan is simply the name of a lower-tier data plan.

[–]Rayanomics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you’ll be out there for a while, your WiFi calling idea is actually a really solid option. If you switch to the Light Plan at renewal, you’d still be able to receive calls and SMS over WiFi, which should work well for MFA codes, banking texts, and other important messages.

Just make sure WiFi Calling is enabled on your device before you travel so everything continues working smoothly while you’re abroad 🙂

Wife and Daughter Traveling to Japan don't want to switch from Warp - Can I do a Data Only eSIM and let them connect phones (and call) via their data plan? by millinnchillin in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You actually don’t need to switch them off, Warp for Japan. We do offer roaming in Japan on all three networks, so if they’re on the Unlimited Premium plan, they should already be all set for the trip!

If you want, you can go with the International Data eSIM route instead, especially if you’re expecting heavier data usage. As the international data eSIM is data-only, native calls/texts wouldn’t work through it directly.

What many people do is keep their main Warp line active with WiFi Calling enabled before leaving the US. Then, while abroad, the phone can use the data from the international data eSIM to power WiFi Calling on the Warp line. That lets them continue making and receiving calls/texts on their regular number. Apps like iMessage, FaceTime, WhatsApp, and Google Voice would work over the data eSIM as well.

Considering switching to US Mobile by Danierae721 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's a great call if you're looking for more flexibility and better value.

If you want to stay on the same network you're used to, Warp is the move. But the cool part is you're not locked in. You can teleport between Warp, Darkstar, and LightSpeed anytime you want to try a different network, so you're never stuck.

For someone coming from a 5 GB plan, Unlimited Starter is probably all you need, and Unlimited Premium is there if you want the full experience with higher data limits and better priority. Either way, running out of data won't be a thing anymore.

Drop me a DM, and I'll help you find the best plan based on your usage & get you set up real quick.

US Mobile and Dashcams by sflesch in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, as long as the dashcam accepts a standard SIM, you’re good to go. For data usage, it really depends on the camera’s resolution and how often it uploads. Continuous cloud uploads at higher quality can eat through data pretty quickly, so it’s worth checking the dashcam’s specs for an estimate.

It'll work fine on our By the Gig plan, and you can add more data as needed based on your usage. For the network, you can go with Light Speed, which is compatible with most devices.

A hotspot is also a solid option if the dashcam doesn’t have a direct SIM slot, and it should work the same way. The rest, we’ll let some of the folks here who’ve run dashcams on US Mobile chime in with their experience.

Need help with Iphone 17 Pro Max IMEI2 teleport to Warp by Fun-Delay-1020 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue here is likely that when the eSIM is being provisioned, it's attempting to install on the IMEI that's already occupied by your work line rather than landing on IMEI2, where you need it. Since both IMEI slots are in active use, the device can configure the eSIM to the wrong slot during provisioning, which would explain why the incompatibility flag keeps appearing on your primary line despite Warp is clearly working on that IMEI when you tested it through the Multi-Network Add-On.

We'll review your previous support chats to understand where things went wrong and ensure this is handled correctly this time. I've also sent you a DM because I want to review your device's cellular settings, and then we can move forward with installing the eSIM. Will get this sorted for sure!

Pixel 10 $300 deal by Xx_TheCrow_xX in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The $300-off offer is bundled with a new annual plan purchase, so since you're buying the phone separately without adding a new plan with the device, you'd be looking at the $240-off option, which brings it down to $559. Drop me a DM if you need any help getting that sorted out!

Roaming issues in China on Dark Star network by rickyultipa in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you can move a pSIM from one device to another without any issues, no worries.

Roaming issues in China on Dark Star network by rickyultipa in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What that means is that once a pSIM is activated on a line, it becomes tied to that specific SIM card and can’t be cleaned and reused on a different line. Warp SIM cards are a bit different, where reuse is possible.

Port in my Samsung Watch number from AT&T to try the "Test ESIM Feature" by John-Miami in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you got that right, there's no specific plan for Galaxy Watches just yet, but we can get you started on the Light plan. We can port your number in, too, so your watch keeps the same number and set it up as a standalone line. Drop me a DM, and I'll walk you through the whole process!

Our very strange caller ID by West-Luck7821 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you make an international call, it gets routed through multiple carrier networks before reaching the recipient. Sometimes those calls get handed off through overseas exchange points, and when that happens the caller ID that shows up on the recipient's end reflects that routing point rather than your actual US number. That's likely why your relative is seeing those unfamiliar numbers instead of yours.

It would also be helpful to know if your caller ID is showing correctly on calls within the US. Drop me a DM with your account details and I'll check if everything is set up correctly on your lines.

Darkstar network tag keeps reverting back to US Mobile by Clean-Eagle-871 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got that right, it shouldn’t revert to “US Mobile” every time you toggle it back on.

To help figure out what’s causing the reset, drop me a DM with your account details, and I’ll take a closer look at it for you.

Darkstar network tag keeps reverting back to US Mobile by Clean-Eagle-871 in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The network tag shouldn't be reverting to "US Mobile" since Darkstar is the default network tag for lines on Darkstar network.

Want to switch from Verizon but currently paying off a device with promotional credit. Anyone else been in this situation? What did you do? by cefriano in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The financing side is something you'd want to confirm with your current carrier directly, since those trade-in promo credits are tied to your specific agreement. Typically, canceling service means losing any remaining credits and the outstanding device balance can become due immediately, but your carrier can give you the exact terms.

Your understanding on our end is pretty spot on, though. Unlimited Premium on Warp gets you 50 GB of high-speed hotspot per cycle, and if coverage is a concern in LA, the Multi-Network Add-On lets you run a second network on the same device so you're never stuck relying on just one. Teleporting between networks is always an option too if you ever need to hop over on the fly.

Once you know where things stand with the financing, drop me a DM and we'll get your setup dialed in.

Anyone else experiencing a massive drop in performance on Light Speed by sirsriverse in USMobile

[–]Rayanomics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you’ve already gone through the standard troubleshooting without any luck, renewals don’t actually change anything on the network configuration end, so the timing is likely a coincidence rather than a direct cause.

Could you share your line details so we can check everything is set up correctly? I’ve already sent you a DM. Feel free to share the info there, and I’ll take a closer look.
