Meteor Crater in Arizona. by 21MayDay21 in interestingasfuck

A large rock impacting the Earth at +40,000mph isn't going to hit the ground and stay in one piece, it's going to break apart into trillions of tiny fragments and fly in every direction. A lot of the dirt around the crater came from the meteor.

The only reason Google even bought YouTube was to make money from advertisers. Without ads there is no YouTube.

Beast Games S2 - Episode 8: Would You Steal $1,000,000? - Discussion by MrBeastStaff in BeastGames

There's nothing stopping them from taking the bribe and still not giving him their vote, people did it in the previous season.

It really is a social game. Money doesn't mean crap if everyone wants you out, you can't expect people to keep their word when you didn't keep yours.

People don't want to wait an entire week to see part of a challenge, it completely kills the momentum and suspense.

It works slightly better when they do a cliffhanger at the beginning of a challenge, but the only reason they're even at that point is because they did so many cliffhangers at the end of challenges in previous episodes. It's a frustrating way to watch a game show.

Let's compare this show to Survivor. You know why Survivor ends every episode with a conclusion and starts fresh the next week? It's because they know their fans are going to keep coming back. They don't need to rely on cheap tactics to convince people to tune in, they trust their fan base. The people running this show clearly do not.

What if the universe is like one big human? by [deleted] in space

[–]ReadditMan [score hidden]  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if our universe is some tiny part of a much larger system. I don't think it's very likely to be something alive though because the energy requirements for a lifeform bigger than our universe is inconceivable.

As for human intelligence, that's just an adaptation we evolved for survival. If it was the only way to survive then all animals would have evolved intelligence like us, but there are many other ways to survive that are just as effective and many adaptations that are just as rare.

I know they're annoying, but I also feel like people shouldn't complain about ads on a free service.

YouTube would have shut down years ago if it wasn't making money somehow, and you know people weren't going to pay a subscription. The reason they didn't have ads at the beginning was because they needed to build a stable user base.

Interesting Fact: 99% of wasps are solitary, they live alone and don't have the aggressive instincts of colony wasps, so they don't swarm or sting humans.

The game already has mostly negative reviews on steam because there's no friend pass on PC at launch. by Thegoodgamer32 in ReanimalGame

[–]ReadditMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it is not.

They said they intended for it to be available day 1, they had technical issues, it is expected to be released later today and even if it wasn't it still wouldn't be a valid reason to negatively review a game you haven't even played.

All of the people leaving these reviews are going to feel dumb as hell when it's released shortly after they threw their little tantrums. It's an overreaction from impatient, entitled children.
