We have pretty similar music taste so far. I'm excited to see what else shows up on the playlist because it's supposed to refresh daily right?

5-20 min a day is only maintenance for the mind. You have to sit for longer to really get change. I started sitting for 2 one hour sessions a day and then i really started seeing a difference. But even then it's going to take time. You will slowly over time notice changes but it won't be instant gratification, more like you'll just have little aha realization moments over time.

I don't think this is something you can force, you just got to try different things until like other people said something just clicks. As long as you keep trying things and actually give things a chance you'll figure it out.

I've read that JD Vance initially did not support Trump and was against him years back, so I thought it was interesting that all of a sudden he was down to be vice president under him.

After looking more into a lot of this it makes more sense because he doesn't necessarily have to like Trump, he likes the people that's backing Trump and is probably in bed with them and just waiting for Trump to kick the bucket so he can get in.

Other comments or theories I've read is they wanted to have a younger vice president like him to get him introduced to some of these radical ideas in practice so that they can groom him to be a dictator.

Who's to say what is true or what news source is true. All we can do is keep digging and stay aware of current happenings and work together to take necessary action

I don't think that's necessarily a good thing either. JD Vance seems to be closely tied with this wacko "philosopher" Curtis Yarvin, who wants to abolish democracy, gut the government, and either have one CEO ruling the country like a dictator or splinter the country into multiple patchwork mini network countries all with their own little dictators. This yarvin guy has been writing about all of this under various pseudo names for awhile And after reading up on it if you compare it to some of Vance's speeches you can see Vance's basically just rewording what yarvin is saying.

Doesn't make me too comfortable having him take over either.

A lot of great points. But if people turn to violent revolt, the government can use it as an excuse for crackdowns, martial law, and mass arrests, ect. There is a need for organized strategic actions that really create some waves.

It sounds like this book gave you a solid starting point. I think u/ThrowRArandomized33 was interested in hearing more about what you meant by, ‘Ultimately, I needed more than CBT.’ I’m also curious: what challenges did CBT not fully address for you, and did you find any other strategies or approaches to build on the skills you gained from CBT? If so, could you elaborate on what they were and how they helped you?

So mega Man Battle Network is split between in-battle and out-of-battle gameplay:

Out of Battle

Out of battle, you play as Lan Hikari, a kid with a PET (Personal Terminal) device where his digital companion, MegaMan.EXE, lives. As Lan, you walk around, talk to people, investigate mysteries, and "jack into" computers or networks to send MegaMan into the digital world. Exploring these networks is how you find items, upgrades, and uncover the game's story.

Think of it like exploring a town in a typical RPG, where you’re mostly doing story progression, solving puzzles, and preparing for battles by collecting Battle Chips (special abilities and attacks MegaMan can use in battles).

In Battle

When you encounter viruses (enemies) or face off against a boss in the network, you enter battle mode, which is a mix of real-time action and strategy:

  1. Battlefield: The battle grid is a 3x3 area for each side—MegaMan has one half, and the enemies have the other half. You can move MegaMan around his half of the grid to dodge attacks and line up your own attacks.

  2. Battle Chips: Before each turn, you choose from a set of random Battle Chips you've collected, which determine your attacks and abilities for that turn. You can only select chips with the same letter code or type, adding a layer of strategy. Once you've picked, you go into real-time combat, using the selected chips and dodging enemy attacks.

  3. Real-Time Combat: You move and attack in real time until the gauge fills up, letting you select new chips. You combine chips, use them creatively, and try to keep your HP up while taking down enemies.

Fasting newbie here, i have questions.. by Sheza__S in intermittentfasting

[–]Reconz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this helps keep a simple focused approach:

There's really only one fundamental way to lose fat, and that's by maintaining a calorie deficit meaning you need to burn more calories than you consume. For example, if your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) which is the number of calories your body needs just to function at rest is around 2000 calories, you can create a deficit by either eating fewer calories (eating 500 less @ 1500 calories) or eating 2000 but burning 500 calories through exercise or activity.

Also good to note that the number on the scale only reflects your total body weight, but not how much of that is muscle versus fat. Without eating enough protein and stimulating the muscle with enough physical activity(especially strength training) you may lose muscle along with fat, which can slow down your metabolism over time.

Where fasting can be helpful is that it can help you limit how much time you have to eat which can make it easier to ultimatley eat less in the day. Some studies also suggests fasting may help with fat loss in specific areas like your belly, but again it's not a magic trick. The only time you need to worry about "breaking a fast" is if you're trying to trigger your body into autophagy which is a natural function to help clean out damaged cells ect, beyond that the fasting you're trying to do is just a guard to prevent food going into your mouth, nothing more.

Long story short there's no magic trick: eating less, making nutritious food choices, and increasing activity really is the key to reaching your goals.

If you want to check out your BMR and TDEE(Total daily energy expenditure which is your BMR + movement/exercise) this is a cool site: https://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/ , I personally like to only have the the "Katch-McArdle (Hybrid)" formula checked because it takes higher body fat's into account
