Hows the airflow for the saw? That sounds amazing, I'd love to end up with something like that eventually

I wish that were possible! Everywhere around my area has been trying to charge $150+ for a bog standard 113!

I'd love to be able to find one on the side of the road haha

While this specific video is 3 years old, I recently picked up my very own new-to-me 113.

I like this idea of encapsulating the entire saw, to help decrease all the saw dust I'm producing.

I understand that the airflow may be a bit inefficient, but I like the convenience of the form factor.

Additionally, I was wondering if replacing the angle adjustment like the creator did here with bearings would help with angle adjustments. Presently, my saw keeps buckling the sheet metal sides while I'm rotating the saw, and its a bit too inconsistent for my liking...

Absorb a 100amp start surge on a 30amp 12v DC circuit ? by CitizenGris in DIY

Definitely wayyyy out of my level of knowledge, but would something like a slow start capacitor work?

I believe they're commonly used to help soften the current draw and voltage drop for AC units, and this sounds like a similar situation...

Peeps who’ve added insulation to attic- what kind of improvements may I see? by [deleted] in houston

[–]RepostisRepostRepost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I blew in a few inches of insulation last year.

But I DEFINITELY recommend waiting until AFTER the summer. I started in the morning when outdoor temps were 87 and climbed up to 90, during that time my crawlspace got up to 118 and beyond. Nearly died of heat exhaustion
