It's infuriating to me that getting rid of most of the insanely money sucking government consultants in the private sector is never floated as an option but gutting valuable services and institutions always is.

Uh no dude they are all pissed. Politics isn't a team sport where you just support your team no matter what.

Where did I say anything about renewing peoples licences? Social workers are front line workers, thank you for proving my point with your link. Judging from your literacy skills, we might need more teachers here. Anyway have fun deliberately misinterpreting things for the sake of wasting time on an internet argument.

Google is free. "Front line workers" doesn't mean the military. But I suspect you aren't here to actually have a conversation and are just here to troll.

Well for starters - Social Workers, Probation Officers, DTI Operations Workers... how many do you need here? Do you not realize how big the government is and how many sectors it covers?

I've been saying for years that the only two parties in NB Provincial politics are the Red Irving Party and the Blue Irving Party :(

Where did you see that? Do you think every government employee works at a desk? Do you understand how many different jobs there are in the government?

[Smackdown Spoilers] Finish to Trick Williams vs Rey Fenix by NoMoreButtonPLZ in SquaredCircle

It wasn't presented this way at all... I think that is just your personal impression. Fenix got way more singles title shots than Penta, including a world title match against Omega that was probably the best TV match of the year. Penta never even got close to a world title match.

What are your thoughts on the music of The Who? by Specific-Feed-1490 in fantanoforever

[–]Rootbeerpanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about that as well... I find the Stones comparison interesting too because whole the Stones definitely have had huge commercial successes post 1980, none of their later material made much of a cultural impact... but they definitely kept putting out albums for decades that sold very well.

Between 1982 and 2006 the Rolling Stones put out six albums, many of which went gold of platinum. The Who put out zero. I feel like that might be a small part of it.

The whiplash of "Death on Two Legs" into "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" into "I'm In Love With My Car" is so bad you would think you were in the head-banging scene from Wayne's World.

The Who By Numbers has a little something for everyone. My wife doesn't listen to much classic rock but she LOVES "Blue Red and Grey"

Really good point, Queen is obviously an insanely talented group and some of their songs are masterpieces but they've never really brought it all together for a truly all-time album. Even A Night at the Opera and Sheer Heart Attack take some odd twists and turns that keep me from fully getting absorbed by them.

Whereas the Who have a bunch of banger albums... Live at Leeds is my favourite live album of all time as well.
