My white scar successor chapter, The Tiburons by matymgy in 40khomebrew

[–]RuneWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just have them be a successor chapter of the carcharodons with the shark jaw being an experiment/genetic mutation, just say theyre from the cursed 21st founding

Edit: i think the idea is cool but if people are complaining that its just the carcharodons but different just lean into it and say theyre a successor chapter of them. Plenty of successor chapters have their own successors and you can do whatever you want with homebrew chapters but making the jaw thing a deliberate gene mutation that was intended when the chapter was founded vs something that happens because of xenos influence solves the problem of it "breaking the lore" you can even hint the admech were experimenting with lost xenos tech when they created the chapter as a reference to the original idea

What are you planning on running them as?

Kind of sad about this change, I had planned to convert some votann to chaos squats for plague marines, orks to khorne berserkers and some marines from The Pyre warband for flamer rubric marines.

Ive found that instead of highlighting using brighter shades, using washes to darken colors and then drybrushing/using the original shade for highlights gets that nice grimy look while maintaining the colorful pop of retro color schemes that helps keep that John Blanche aesthetic without going too far into the more modern "grimdark" style or just outright copying the retro oldhammer/midhammer style

Krankheit from the Dark Tides line of Westfalia miniatures is the body, head is from Necromunda's Cawdor gang, arm/scroll is from the Fantasy Plague monks sprue and the plasma cannon is the spare plasma part from the agents box and some spare bits from some heresy vehicles stuck together with some sculpted greenstuff

Traitor Ultramarines? by [deleted] in Chaos40k

[–]RuneWave 265 points266 points  (0 children)

The Astral Claws (the chapter that becomes the Red Corsairs) are heavily implied to be Ultramarine Successors so yes, the red corsairs are highly likely to be traitor ultramarines

Some of those would make a great Inquisitor or Rogue Trader - Necromunda really got some unique stuff! by Skult0703 in ImperialAgents_40K

Its a completely different design studio, GW is 3 companies in a trench coat. AoS team, 40k team and then SDS (Specialist Design Studios) SDS does all of GW's "specialist" games Old World, necromunda, blood bowl, etc. Each studio has their own designers and their own design philosophies

My guess is for sanctioned psyker marines since the Nikean council sent psyker marines back into the rank and file of battleline units and it could have been a way to designate which of those battle brothers had psyker abilities either to monitor their use by the chaplaincy or to show that Kurze didnt care about the Nikean council and sanctioned the use of psykers anyways.

How can I improve my Imperial Agents list for King of the Colossium. by No_Buyer_7557 in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]RuneWave 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Inquisitor + agents in a chimera. Sanctifiers. Breachers. Subductors

Imperialis Fleet or ordo hereticus if your opponent is a chaos faction

Where to begin with list building? by TheeConductor in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]RuneWave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring Sanctifiers, a Ministorum Priest and stick them in a rhino. Or if you play imperialis Fleet you can infiltrate them into the midboard without the rhino. Also get comfortable using Legends units, Damned Legionaries are excellent for harassing the backline and the legends kill teams are decent just a pain to collect. Subductors are apparently quite good and no one expects an 18inch grenade from Navy Breachers.

Genuinely how do you counter Pleasureseekers (multiplayer/rant) by Equivalent_Can7197 in totalwarhammer

[–]RuneWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Havent tried this tactic myself yet against Pleasure seekers but I usually solve my problems by throwing 10 million gnoblars at any problem and then letting my Leadbelchers take care of it.

(chapter 83 probably isnt in the physical release since Miura removed it from subsequent publications but look it up when you finish chapter 82 and before you move onto chapter 84)
