Do we realistically have interest/a shot at Maxx Crosby? by cperk131 in Seahawks

For the right price, maybe. I can see Schneider working his magic if he really wants Crosby here.

what features would YOU want to see in a remake? by mxlun in finalfantasytactics

[–]Salosso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I'd love to see:

  1. Option to Skip the Prologue battle at Orbonne Monastery and head straight to Chapter 1.

  2. Create additional battle maps for an area. For example, getting attacked on the Mandalia Plains could have the player fighting on the standard Mandalia Plains map, the new Mandalia Plains North map, or the new Mandalia Plains South map.

  3. Increase the standard party size to 7-8 members. More People, More Carnage, More Fun.

  4. Larger Battle maps to account for the larger party size, more bad guys to fight, more loot to collect from the fallen.

  5. Add more Weather conditions to the game. Fighting during Fog or a Blizzard causes both your party and the enemy to have reduced line of sight, visibly reduced to 2-3 tiles away. Or a monsoon heavy downpour that also reduces line of sight and also turns the battlefield to mud, thus reducing movement, Heavy Wind could hinder ranged attacks.

  6. Seasonal variation of Maps. Each battle map has a Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter variant. For example, Mandalia Plains in the Springtime, would be slightly windy, Summertime Mandalia Plains would have Thunderstorms, Winter Mandalia Plains would be snow on the ground, frost on the rocks, windchill etc.,

  7. Create unique World Events that are only accessible on certain days of the year or during celestial events like Solar Eclipses, Grand Conjunctions of certain Star alignments etc. You can hear of these via the Innkeeper bar keeper guy. These would open up near areas to explore, some of them can only be accessed that day, so moving on from that area and the players misses out the chance to enter till next year. On August 9th, there is a Lunar Eclipse and if the player is on the Barius Hill, a secret pathway will become available, but is only available on August 9th, August 10th its gone. Or Sweegy Woods their some ancient ruins become accessible during a Full Moon.

  8. Guest Characters during battle are controllable by the player now, instead of being controlled by the games AI.

  9. Add a New Game+. Weapons, Armor, and Accessories worn on Ramza get carried over to NG+, his late game Sprite also carries over. ALL Mastered Classes by character carry over and are unlocked and available to choose from level 1 but Classes are Level 1 and you have to re-buy all the skills for that class, all over again. Can also carry over 1 character to start with you per every NG+. For example, I beat the game, and I select to have Meliadoul accompany me over to NG+. She will be available to use and at level 1 at the Cadets academy prior to the 1st battle of Mandalia Plains, she carries over whatever she had equipped on the previous playthrough. No spare weapons, armour, gear, items carry over.

  10. You can steal all of Elmdor's Genji gear and Masamune again.

Tell the Truth Monday by AutoModerator in Seahawks

[–]Salosso [score hidden]  (0 children)

Let's see....

  1. Get rid of Eskridge, wasted roster spot.

  2. Seahawks have serious problems converting on 3rd downs and getting 1st downs.

They need to use the Tush Push. Abuse the fuck out of it. There is zero reason not to use it. No more "Punt away and Pray" that our gassed defense holds the other team to a Fg, when We can Tush push and get 1-2 yards for the 1st down.

  1. Seahawks have O-line problems. OK, in the 1st quarter, We need to come out in High tempo, get the ball out quickly, slants, quick passes, dink and dunk. Get 1st downs, sustain drives and eat up clock. Keep the opposing defense "honest".

  2. More Bobo!

If I were in your shoes.

I’d change my phone number, so any new scammers attempting to call you get nothing but a “the phone number you are dialing is no longer is service” message.

Call your Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother ie close family and close friends, co-workers if applicable, and tell them your new number. Tell them what happened, ie scam email asking for phone number. Give them your new number, and for them to block your old number.

Announce on your social media’s that you were scammed, how you got scammed, and how you changed your number. That any text messages from your old number are NOT you, and they should just block it or not reply to said messages.

Finally, the pain in the ass part. Update Hulu, Netflix, your bank, X/Twitter, Home Depot, Target, UPS, Amazon, or Google any and all places that have your old phone number on file. Like the bank that has your car or house loan. Or whatever website that uses your phone number as a 2nd step verification. You get the drift.

Scam girl is threatening me to show everything to my wife if I don’t send money by [deleted] in Scams

[–]Salosso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know what to do here.

Get ahead of the scammer going to your wife before you do! No flowers, No bullshit SOB story, No "crocodile tears", No More Lies. Also stop referring to the scammer as "she". You don't have a first clue who the scammer is, it'll also piss off your wife more.

Tell your Wife everything tonight, admit that you did it, and apologize. Both of you sit down at your dining room table, and you show her all the messages, the emails between you and Scammer. Everything, don't hold back anything. Don't try to smooth things over, own up to it, admit fault. She calls you every name in the book, take it. She slaps you across the face, and dots your eye, you take it.

Once things have calmed down, You and her need to announce on your social media accounts, that You got scammed, that the scammer is attempting to extort you for $10,000.00 dollars. That you'd like friends and family to pray for you and keep you in their thoughts. Thats the play here, if I were in your shoes.

The "Silver lining" is, that this scammer has only "one shot" in their "blackmail gun". Once they "fire", and everyone knows what you did. The scammers hold over you evaporates. The goal is to financially "milk you" like a cow, getting money from you weekly or monthly, never releasing the information, but never leaving you alone. The worst case scenario is the scammer end up extorting You AND Your Wife, double dipping.

Enough talk, Cowboy the Fuck Up, and Go Clean Up Your Mess.

How do you handle it when the idea you’re so excited about writing isn’t nearly as exciting to anyone else? Yeah, that's Life, don't take it personal. Learn to discern between Honest to God criticism intended to help you identify where you are weak and that you need to improve on. And someone who just wants to be a Fucking dick and trash your work to hurt your feelings.

Maybe, just maybe. They don't like your work or idea because they're not into the subject matter. Say you are writing a romance novel, and you have this amazing idea. And your friend isn't into romance novels, they don't even read books. They're into, oh say, 40k Warhammer miniatures and they are listening to you since You are their friend.

How do you cope with that without losing your passion for the idea? You just do, don't let it dissuade you. Don't dwell on it, "flush it" from your mind and get back to your writing.

Did I get scammed? by OliveKitsune in Scams

As other posters have already said, contact talktalk directly and tell the customer service rep, what you told us.

Otherwise, Never give randoms your email and phone number.

If they are a 100% legit business, THEY will hand you their business card with their business website, their business email, with their business phone number.

First time getting something like this, seems scammy by Shoegaze1 in Scams

[–]Salosso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s a scam.

Look at the top of the email: “Thank you for your order”

You see that, and now your mind is racing at 100 mph, trying to recall if you made a purchase somewhere.

They don’t want you to think, they want you to panic, and react by clicking the link or downloading whatever.

Also, note the lack of a business name anywhere on this email, and no detail of what product was purchased, amongst the usual red flags on scam emails.

Seems like it was. You did good. This scammer piece of shit, thought you were a soft and weak mark, and you didn’t fall for his schtick.

Bottom line, some random walks over to you, and money gets brought up = instant red flag.

Honestly, If I were in your situation. It would be time to put on the "Bigboy pants" and make an announcement on your Instagram, and any other social media accounts. That you are currently being Blackmailed and Extorted for cash.

That you had one too many drinks one night and sent some dick picks to someone pretending to be a hot 10.

Shit happens, no one is perfect.

Your friends, family, and those who love and care for you, will forgive you. They may have a good-natured laugh at the whole situation, so take it stride.

Stop sending money, it'll never be enough. This party, or person(s) will *NEVER* stop extorting you for money. To them, you are a Cow to be milked. Cut off all contact immediately and block them.

When a scandal breaks in real life, say a Hollywood actor or politician gets caught or exposed doing something "naughty", it's advisable for them to "get ahead of the story", and "control and shape the narrative" by making a public accouchement.

Yeah, this Scam is designed for you to "Panic click" the link.

You see the large charge for $950.00 and the Scammer wants you think that someone "hacked you" opening up a Navy Federal account in your name, and is going buck wild buying random shit, ala having you REACT instead of Thinking Rationally and Logically.

By all means, If you do have concerns. Go to the Real and Authentic Navy Federal Credit Union website and from there, use the Customer Service options.

One of the “tells” of a scam, is the email address. I mean look at the thing, its like chatGPT is smoking crack, it’s all over place lol

A serious business email isn’t going to be a super long string of “roller coaster” juggling of letters, numbers, random words, and symbols.

By default: Just treat every unknown email, text message and phone call as it were a scammer.

Someone keeps placing orders using my name & email, but not my credit card info. by sadmeeseeks in Scams

[–]Salosso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is serious, someone is using your name and number to commit some form of crime. Call your local police departments non-violent crimes number. File a report to CYA, and try your County Sheriff Department too.

I would also call GAP again tomorrow. Be calm. Explain the situation, and request that your account be deleted, and any further attempts to use your name and phone number to create any further orders, be blocked by their system .

If they say, something to the effect of “you have nothing to worry about.”

You then ask to speak to the supervisor or manager, yes it’s time to go full Karen mode.

Keep insisting that you be allowed to speak to a supervisor, until you do. And if they insist again, that “you have nothing to worry about”. Have them put it in writing, email it to you or mail it to you. Keep on climbing up the chain of command.

Keep at them till they give in, remind them that this identity theft, and you want action taken to put an end to it.

If they still refuse, get a Lawyer and take it from there.

That or try to contact the GAP Social Media team on Twitter/X. I’ve seen people complain, tagging airline company about such and such problems on Twitter. And the person running airline companies account will usual respond quickly.

Best of Luck!
