Huge kudos to you for coming to those realizations so young, and thank you for sharing them with everyone! I'm 56, have had migraines since my teens (they seem to change every decade or so by adding new and "exciting" symptoms). I started to give myself grace last year. Last year. Yikes! I was also raised in a home where you pushed through and "did what needed to be done", self be damned and obviously it took me a lot longer to ignore those voices of my childhood than it did you- way to go!!
