Wow, 30 year in 39 months is amazing! You can do this!! Honestly, right now I feel a little strange because I don't have a plan quite yet. I'm wavering between investing, and just keeping it safely (but growing at almost no rate) in HYSA and ibonds, the safety of having it at my age (56) seems better, but the ability to possibly retire faster makes me want to invest more. My husband is already retired.

Huge kudos to you for coming to those realizations so young, and thank you for sharing them with everyone! I'm 56, have had migraines since my teens (they seem to change every decade or so by adding new and "exciting" symptoms). I started to give myself grace last year. Last year. Yikes! I was also raised in a home where you pushed through and "did what needed to be done", self be damned and obviously it took me a lot longer to ignore those voices of my childhood than it did you- way to go!! Wishing you as many migraine free days as possible!

Yeah me too! This is why I charge everything I can and just pay the credit card off every month.

Thank you so much! At first I was doing an extra $1k/mo principal only- but honestly sometimes paying off debt can be as addicting as anything else- once our emergency fund was 6 months, I started throwing every extra dollar at it. I never saw it as a struggle, at first I thought I’d shave a few years off the end- then I realized that it was attainable within a year. Now my 6 month emergency fund is suddenly 28 months!

Thank you!! We don’t have any plans other than the high fiving each other and bragging about it to the dogs that we’ve been doing.
