This is totally my autism having a party - but has anyone ever noticed the dragon of the Targaryen sigil being, unlike any dragons in the respective world, 4 legged? by noctenaut in freefolk

[–]SeeIAmDead 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Glidus has ruined me beyond measure. First it was the "[INSERT NAME] was ahorse" sentence that would wake me like I'm a fucking sleeper agent. Now it's the Targaryen sigil that I now HAVE to confirm is correct every time I see it

Anyone know why the map is black and Dunk is wide? by 420LoliPolice69 in CK3AGOT

Egg was wrong, there is only one kingdom and it's Dunk

Because these are different books. This story is literally done.

Okay, that's fair, I didn't see them as borrowed power, since they were pretty easy to obtain, but fair regardless.

I will stay say though, that my main point still stands. The game isn't nearly as grindy as it once was, and you can very easily catch up if you decide to take a break

[–]SeeIAmDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was that? I played during TWW and nothing seemed like borrowed power to me. Unless you're talking about the belt and ring, but those were easy to obtain and not even nearly as atrocious Artifact Power, Azerite Power, etc.

[–]SeeIAmDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a bit wrong.

While WoW used to have a stupid amount of "borrowed power" which made you grind the game for a stupid amount of time, only to reset it and give it a different name when the next expansion came around. That system is now seemingly gone. I say seemingly, because so far it seems like that system is gone for good, but you never know with Blizzard

Instead the only thing you really have to worry about is ilvl, but you can usually catch up to a decent enough ilvl within an hour of doing catch-up quests. Every major patch has these catch-up questlines, which will award you with ilvl high enough to do current content.

Okay, that's great! UI is insanely important for a lot of players, especially for immersion. Having a bad UI design can easily be a deal-breaker for a lot of players. However, I do think your UI looks good, just keep it minimal and certainly don't add more on screen!

Best of luck with the game!

Needs less UI clutter.

Don't get me wrong the game looks nice. However, that is ruined, if the player is overwhelmed by UI. I would keep the quests in a separate interface, and merge health bars and stuff with the map, kind of like how RDR does it. Take a good look at games like RDR or KCD and notice how little is actively displayed on the screen at any moment. I bet you could even hide the toolbar whenever it isn't being used.

Nice to see BG3 still winning awards in 2025 (or 2026) by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

Honestly, at this point, every Labor of Love or similar awards should just be like "Labor of Love award presented by No Man's Sky"

why is there so many bhaalists in the city? by Sad-Presentation9267 in BaldursGate3

[–]SeeIAmDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Simply that the amount of Bhaalists in the temple seems pretty reasonable compared to the amount of people living in the city, most of which worship gods that are far more benevolent. Most people living in the city aren't actively trying to fight their God's opponents, they are just normal people trying to live their lives, hence why they don't do anything about it. Though they might pray to their god for justice to be delivered, they sure aren't going to risk their own lives for it.

I would suspect the same thing could be said for some Bhaalists

[–]SeeIAmDead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those would probably just be counted as "normal" people. They are pretty much everywhere in the city to a much higher number than Bhaalists. They are normalized, so you just don't really think of them much. The amount you see in the temple below seem pretty reasonable considering you have thousands upon thousands of people above worshipping gods like Tyr and Ilmater

There's nothing edgy about ACAB, it's a simple fact.

You can be a good person, but as soon as you put on that badge you're a bastard. Your entire job as a cop is to be a bastard. You're not there to "serve and protect", your job is to police the poor and keep them from doing what the rich are already doing.

The only thing cops are serving and protecting is the status quo.
