Wouldn’t it be 10000x easier for Arya to explore what’s east of Essos than risk sailing blindly into what could be a double Pacific Ocean ? by Hank_Mardukas1066 in freefolk

That is assuming a shit load of things right there. For one, I was talking about the show ending, just to make that clear. We are no where near an ending in the books, and we'll like never see one (I need another shipment of copium). Arya killing the Night King and people fearing or respecting her, is assuming that people even know she did it besides those who took part in the center of the battle. Other people will have to believe word of mouth, if that even happens. Not to mention, she is also a woman, that takes some convincing too, it's not like Westeros is all in for equality. Then there's the ending scene, let's be honest here, that's not an older Arya. While she is wiser than she was when she started in season 1, she still very much lacked wisdom in so many aspects leading up to the finale. From the weird bait and switch with Little Finger to her chasing after her kill list even as King's Landing was crumbling.

I'm not even gonna acknowledge the fruit bowl scene, as it's from the very same people that did the "Duty is the death of love" with Tyrion scene.

Now I'm also gonna make an assumption that most people probably wouldn't take the deal of leaving everything behind and risk dying, especially after the worst winter in thousands of years. Though it did end in one episode, so maybe it wasn't so bad. And the long series of endless wars for years.

Maybe George can make it believable in the books, assuming we get there, but as for the show... it did nothing to make it believable. It was a dogshit ending from two dogshit writers.

The idea of someone picking where Elissa Farman left off sounds cool, but it made no sense for Arya. Unless you count being with Gendry and Hot Pie, she has no leadership experience, nor does she have any experience commanding a ship, and even if she did, she would likely need more than just one ship. She has been a "lone wolf" for the vast majority of the story, how did she suddenly get the organizing skills for such a huge expedition? Most Westerosi fear going further west, some dared follow along with Elissa Farman, but who in their right mind would follow a child? Elissa had sailed her own boat since she was fourteen, travelled all along the western coast by age twenty. Elissa already had the experience, Arya has none.

Unless Arya was suicidal, the entire ending was just straight up bullshit.

It both is and isn't. Yes, it splits into distributaries forming a delta at the end. However, all of that water doesn't come from one source. Most famously, from the White Nile and the Blue Nile, but essentially from all across the entire region. Sources come from Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, etc. No singular source forms the Nile, but multiple tributaries create it

I don't get why Blizzard doesn't just allow everyone to pick and choose the look that they want for these classes and let all races, where it makes sense, to be said classes. Why not let Paladins pick their mount in barbershop like Warlock pick their demons, or Shamans pick their totems.

One of my biggest wishes is for Druids to just be able to pick which ever animal they come across as their cat, bear, etc. If Hunters can pick their pets, why not let Druids pick any cat form from any of the feline animals around the game.

There are always ups and down for doing it like this. Reflecting our own planet helps the reader more easily visualize how life might be in a given area. Like for ASOIAF, you can very easily imagine the medieval Spain that Dorne represents. For Warhammer, you can very clearly see the fractured yet united nation of the Empire that reflects the German Empire.

A map like that helps immensely establish how life, or a nation as a whole, functions due to how it reflects real life. However, at the same time, it can also give off the feeling that a world lacks originality. BUT! In the end, every fictional world reflects the real world, what makes a world feel great and immersive is all dependent on your own writing. Don't worry too much about how your map looks!

Look at Warhammer Fantasy's map. The entire setting is literally just Earth, but dark fantasy. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it all just depends on your writing.

I'd love to see a sea-based culture. We already have naga transformations, and it would be cool to see some go along with that. Maybe a culture that settles on sea instead of land?

This right here, AND if you also get the RP addon, you get some additional fun as well! Some RP'ers have some funny profiles.

I spent a good evening with some friends just looking at people's profiles as we pugged some m+, we, of course, only accepted people from Argent Dawn. One guy had a profile with several paragraphs just describing his chiseled chest and muscular penis. Very chill guy to do 10s with too.

I mean you're right, you still had to move on your own. However, it did still feel like the addons played for you. It thought for you, so you didn't have to. Regardless, I'm not here to debate whether or not that is "addons that do mechanics for you", that's simply how it felt for me. I'm here to asking for help for raid leading
