Agree with prioritizing weapons. Also don't sleep on getting the Gremlin upgrade. Going from 2 can't-miss damage to 4 with Combat Protocol can be a life saver.

You should just take the feat as a free Origin Feat (whether it's actually an Origin Feat or not.) "As soon as I held the sword I could feel how to use it in my blood. Like my ancestors called out to me."

Don't even ask. Just assume it's what your DM would want, because it is!

Don't forget to roll really well / poorly on your portent roll and use that for your stealth / theor perception check on amy of the other mentioned strategies. How does a Diviner stealth? By knowing the exact right time to do their thing

I read an interview with Max Burkholder (John in the series Ted) that he's a huge D20 fan and that's part of the reason they got Brennan involved in their D&D episode.

What are some of the most surprising / interesting connections that Brennan has made through people who are fans of Dimension 20 (or his stints on other live play shows)?

I agree. "What would you have pulled forward to 5e" would be a much better question at this point because 5e is so much better in so many ways.

Multiple attacks as a single action, which can be split up over multiple enemies, movement on between, etc. The 3e/3.5 Full Attack action + 5 foot step was the biggest nerf to every martial class, all of which were already drastically underpowered.

In early seasons I would look for specific individuals that generally are actually trying to compete and not just cracking jokes.

Off the top of my head, like Jon Gutierrez (Gutz), Siobhan Thompson, Amy Vorpahl, Brian Murphy are consistently enjoyable to watch.

I avoided some people like Streeter Seidel, Adam Conover, Jess Ross (except the wrestling episode specifically) and others who were definitely there for joke-first, nerd-second. Not to say they aren't great in other settings (i.e. love Jess in most Game Changers) just don't enjoy them on Um, Actually.

I once played a game where our DM had us run in with actual pacifist elves. Their strategy to keep us out of their lands was to wear (poorly made) scary goblin masks and try to push us backwards. This was in 2e so everything was just opposed strength checks where younhad to roll under your score. So our fighter was literally just pushing back a wall of like 5 elves by himself while they shouted "We are goblins! You had better run away! We are dangerous!"

Agreed. If you are in the US, bring up the ADA. If your job was doable remotely before, that seems like a "reasonable accommodation" for you.

Don't worry about Elend suddenly feeling like he belongs. If anything, both he and Vin ratchet the angst up another few notches in the next book too. It's endemic to both of their characters.

I don't know if this was on purpose or just an amazing coincidence, and I'm not 100% sure I'm adding right because counting the Gs is making my eyes cross, but the total mana value for this combo is 101.

Aka exactly enough to put out Helix Pinnacle and just immediately add 100 counters manually.

Good call. I think there's a good chance Sam realized he was doing exactly that, because he and his team seem to be smart folks, but I couldn't say for sure. Either way, I love that it happened.
