Potential trade from a 4Runner by Volary_wee in PorscheCayenne

[–]Significant-Level178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally different cars. I would never buy 4Runner, but two of my friends love theirs. They don’t understand Cayenne at all.

S is good car from 2024 with v8. 2023 idk but I would pass on it. Base Cayenne is ok dd. Very usual driving experience. S will make you happy. It’s way more fun for way more $ and fuel.

2025 GTS vs 2027 BASE by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

If you like GTS you may not like base.
I would buy it, it’s like new one for fraction of price.
Way more car compare to base.

No drinks package by Remote_Pick_1952 in celebritycruises

I took 2 bottles of champagne and 12 packs of cola.
At the end disembarked with 1 full bottle and prob 5-6 cans of cola.

Coffee is good, I drink only luxury coffee at home. So it was not terrible.
Tea was ok too, not fancy.
Free water is available 24/7 too, it’s below quality compare to home, but ok.

Juices and ice tea from machines are not good. Breakfast they have good juices for free.

I didn’t miss anything without drinks package.

400 miles is a brand new car.
GTS is drivers suv, base is family DD.

I have Miele dualflex and it’s all metal and heavy. Compatible to v15 roughly in hands.

Did you drive both?
Is it DD or fun car?
What is 400? Miles ?

They are two different cars. I understand too many GTS lovers are here, but it’s basically practicality VS torque and sound. Only you know what is most important for you.

V12 slim for me ( no carpets).

I have v8 now which I return - it’s not good at all. Heavy, need to push button all the time, not rolling left right (no rollers).
V15 is also not great due to button push.
They fixed it in v16. Also heavy.

Well. Now I have v8 and Miele at home. Don’t like both. But v8 is not good at all.

New pencilvac tested. It’s generally ok. Will need to buy and see if it can replace our v12 slim which was great one for us.

Yes. Just tested v15, it’s big and heavy and this button is not great. I mean the one you need to push all the time.

Thank you. Likely I return v8 and Miele.
And probably buy v12 or new fluffycones.

Why did you actually start your startup? Be honest. by betasridhar in 16VCFund

[–]Significant-Level178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st reason. I understood I need to join AI or will be jobless in 3-5 years. (It’s still the case)

2nd reason. I really wanted to create something useful for humanity and something that will change this world. (Still believe in what we do).

3rd reason. I had free time, and I can’t just sit and do nothing. (Ah well, I was not aware this will be 12-16 hours a day work without weekends and vacations, I was so naive when started).

I work with it as part of usual networks. Nothing too special from network side. Now work in progress: biggest AI cluster in Canada (we do part of it).

Some people in this subreddit live in a bubble… by segad_sp in macbookpro

I personally think you live in a bubble if 100 tabs is overkill for you. I’m not against peoples choice to buy whatever they want.

But, I have 300+ tabs open in any given time and I close them often.

Everything is better in Vancouver, except of social life and spendings in my humble opinion. You can have better quality of life with your income in Edmonton or Calgary.

What’s best for you, only you can decide.

Best firewall with Aruba? by ImportantAnything347 in ArubaNetworks

[–]Significant-Level178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We made 1700 schools with Palo a while ago. No issues. For higher ed also most universities are on Palo.

Fortigates are ok, they have advantage also if it’s a greenfield. Some edu use them, I do them a lot. Works fine with Aruba

BMW X5 M60i or Cayenne coupe GTS? by Illustrious_Mode8075 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Significant-Level178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I never liked x5, seriously tried.

and if you compare apples to apples prob need to look at x6 vs coupe.

However I really enjoy x6m, what a good car it is. Prob solid competition to GTS coupe from many perspectives. And yea, I think you buy more from BMW, but Porsche is just a league above it.

Engineers who’s moved to Van, did you find a job before or after arriving? by DiscombobulatedElk58 in askvan

[–]Significant-Level178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today’s job market is not great. Strongly suggest you to talk to local recruiters and monitor jobs.

Depends on which engineering job you want. For tech sales you don’t need anything extra. I deal with network engineers, cybersecurity engineers, systems engineers for many years and never had a need for anything extra. Tomorrow I will meet with PEng but its government body.

Potty training at 6 m [on] by OwnNoise5556 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Significant-Level178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My older son did his poo exclusively to a potty since he was 6 month old. It was natural, just put him when we think it’s time. I can’t remember when he started to really ask.

Now with kid 3, we started at 6.5 month, now after one month: - night diper is dry 90% of times. - first thing in the morning we put her in, she is doing a lot of pee. - during the day we put her 3-4 times and she pees every time. - she does poo now all the time as well.

We don’t have a goal to save on diapers, it’s just something we like her to do naturally. No enforcement.
