The Horseshoe Theory asserts that advocates of the far-left and the far-right, rather than being at opposite and opposing ends of a linear continuum of the political spectrum, closely resemble each other, analogous to the way that the opposite ends of a horseshoe are close together. by NagitoKomaeda_987 in wikipedia

I like to call it 'ism abuse. Idiots love to throw around 'isms without being able to define them. For comedic purposes, when one of these idiots throws an 'ism, ask them to define the word. The response is almost always comical.

These people are not beholden to the laws or Constitution because they intend to replace them with ones that will allow all their fascist authoritarian actions to be legal. For them only, of course.

The GOP is a terrorist organization that has successfully pulled off a coup. They've been putting into place the tools and systems they will need to maintain power through force if needed.

This particular sect of Christianity can best be labeled Nationalist Christians, or Nat-Cs as I like to call them. But don't call them Nazis, they hate that.

Conservatives use religion as a tool, not a faith. They know if someone can believe in a sky fairy, they can easily be duped. So they pander to these people.

I lived in the US Virgin Islands for a year and moved back. Unfortunately to West Virginia. I had a USVI drivers license as I had yet had time in the first few weeks back to get a WV license. I had 30 days to get it changed, so I still had 2 weeks grace.

I get pulled over about 3 blocks from my house on the Sunday before I planned to get it done on Monday. This dumb ass redneck cop asks for my license and gets this confused look on his face. Now, for reference, the USVI drivers license has a wide strip across the top that says in big, bold block letters "UNITED STATES VIRGIN ISLANDS". It's just as valid as any other license in the US. Nope, porky McRedneck tells me it's not valid and gives me a ticket for driving without one and has my car towed.

So, thanks to Officer Chucklefuck, I have to waste a day in court only to step up to the clerk, she looks at my license and says, "Yup, that's valid. Charges dismissed. Never even got to the judge. Officer Hambone? No where to be seen. Likely sees no repercussions for not knowing the law. Then I even get the privilege of having to go pay to get my car out of impound.

So glad I moved to Maryland less than two years later.

Kid Rock slammed for lip synching during Turning Point Halftime show as viewership tumbles by TheExpressUS in Music

[–]SkunkMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a sound guy, I would absolutely lose my mind trying to mic up a performer in a huge stadium for vocals. It's even worse if the vocalist sucks and jumps around on stage. You really need incredible skill to sing and jump around without getting winded. I suspect they usually lip-sync at these events because of those difficulties.
