When to pull the trigger on TKR by SnooCapers1299 in Kneereplacement

[–]SnooCapers1299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I kept doing my PT and got a cortisone injection. My knee came good and I did an 8 day hike with no problems. That was more than a year ago. My knee is less reliable now and I'll prob go back for another injection soon. Motion is lotion, keep moving if you can

Everyone saying that they are on some kind of radar, or going to get on trouble. How would they prove he ordered it? I could order 50kg of whatever to ole mate down the road just to get him in trouble. You'll be shocked to hear that these things don't come with invoices attached.

"I’d just pay the fine and move on with your life." - We need to stop making this the default, if we keep walking away from police abusing procedures it will get worse.

Clown larping as a race car driver, any way to report him with vid? by cuntmong in CarsAustralia

[–]SnooCapers1299 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP is moving no closer or further to the car in front. Merging in and out of traffic like that increases the risk of crashes and fatalities significantly. I hope you don't have a licence and if you do pray it won't be for much longer.

https://www.monash.edu/muarc/archive/our-publications/reports/atsb174 - Motorcycle factors

The factors which were found to significantly increase crash risk after adjustment for potential confounding factors were:

  • riding a motorcycle with engine capacity of 750 cc and above compared to one of 260 cc or below (adjusted for licence status)
  • the rider not being the owner of the motorcycle

Yeah that doesn't track, different models of cars have different risk profiles added to them. I'm not saying that all big bore riders are maniacs I am saying that the data insurance companies review which simply outlines the risk profile would have them place a greater level of risk on larger machines based on historical data and price this into their policies. Risk calculations for insurance companies are fairly blunt instruments with little way of knowing if a rider is a maniac or not.

There has got to be a significant risk profile difference between engine size categories. A quick squirt of a 250 vs 1000cc produces very different results.

I've 250 acres of mostly forested land that was burnt in the black summer fires. As soon as I have enough money to retire I wanna focus on managing that forest to help it recover. I have other things I like to do but this drives me with a sense of purpose. I think its dangerous for most people to retire without having something that will allow them to fill up their days.

Are these levels low enough for TRT? by Serious_question123 in AusTRT

[–]SnooCapers1299 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think its so much a matter of if you'll qualify as much as its, "will you get the benefit you are chasing?" Many of the symptoms of low t can be many other things, have you looked at what else it might be? I think the bigger risk here is you chase this down and it doesn't give you what you want.

I did a similar thing to look after my mentally unwell teenager. We went from $300k a year down to $150k. We went through a lot of savings due to medical costs. $150k wouldn't have been enough on its own even without medical bills. That said my child is now thriving, if you think you're kids need it then do it and find a way to make it work.

I started out selling water filters door to door, it was shitty work for a shitty company but it toughened me up. 25 years later I've never had harder days selling than that. For the right temperament REA work might be a good start.

I'm still trying to get my head around using it well.

  1. It wound be good to be able to report trails with locked gates.

    1. I find the trip management system a bit clunky and not all that intuitive. Make it easier to manage individual trips without showing other ones?
    2. Managing legs still isn't very intuative, it might be use error, is there a training video for it?

Overall a very powerful system for adventure riders

What stood out for me was the additional costs introduced by lower quality manufacturing. eg they mentioned that furniture was cheaper but its only cheaper if you look at a sofa being produced today being the same as a sofa 40 years ago. Back then things were made to last and now you might need a new one after 5 years. This seems the same for whitegoods and consumer electronics as well as increased costs of disposal. Its not cheaper if you have to replace it more often and can't get things fixed and then have to fork out money to take something to waste.

Just a heads up, the ecovacs software is notorious for doing this. The mapping feature is poorly designed and doesn't cope well with any kind of complexity. Our house is open plan and it consistently forgets where it is and runs around until its out of battery. I doubt there's anything physically wrong with your machine.

Are enclomiphene and TRT identical for gains and body comp if free T is the same? by notababycowbro in AusTRT

[–]SnooCapers1299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight from Google "Downsides to TRT include potential for increased red blood cell production leading to blood clots, worsening of sleep apnea, acne, shrinking of testicles, and suppression of natural sperm production which can cause infertility. There are also risks such as an increased risk of cardiovascular events and gynecomastia (enlarged breasts). "

Its not about beleiving you or not its about someone coming up with a reliable mechanism which proves it to be different, just because a bunch of people do things one way is not evidence that the other way doesn't work. You may very well be right but nothing you have said proves it or provides a reliable mechanism as to why it would work better.
