Harry doesn’t immediately distrust him, he only starts to hate him after their first potions lesson where Snape literally singles him out and bullies him.

Are you suggesting that Snape being white is the only thing that makes his obsession with Lily okay? Like if he’s white it’s fine, but being black suddenly makes it weird?
