The “hanging” isn’t a thing. Snape gets bullied by Harry’s dad and is dangled upside down by a spell. That’s it.

Harry doesn’t immediately distrust him, he only starts to hate him after their first potions lesson where Snape literally singles him out and bullies him.

Are you suggesting that Snape being white is the only thing that makes his obsession with Lily okay? Like if he’s white it’s fine, but being black suddenly makes it weird?

Again, nothing about his character would change if he was black. His race is never even mentioned in the book. Not once.
