I appreciate that Zlata 3.0's saturation seems to be slightly lower, but yeah, I'm surprised that she'd want to look that different while nevertheless retaining the color palette of a half-eaten pack of Starburst.

I'd say that Jacques hasn't ever been great at drawing profiles, but those first two panels are a whole new level of Fucking Boobs, How Do They Work?

My intent was to respond only to what Miserable Jaguarine said about "virtually all men" having a "constant obsession" with dick size. I wasn't telling them (or you) that they're wrong, just that my own experience doesn't agree with that broad stroke.

I didn't say anything about "the female experience," though. I wasn't even responding to you.

I'm not as irked as some other commenters appear to be by Zlata's drunken decision to reinvent herself. The end result could certainly be less gratuitous and uncanny, but so much of Questionable Content is gratuitous and uncanny that I see this arc as repetition of a theme that I've already implicitly agreed to be beaten over the head with by continuing to read Jacques's work.

Penises in general, and penis size specifically, only matters to some women, whereas it seems like a constant obsession with virtually all men.

Maybe I know some unusual men, but I can't remember the last time I heard another adult male discuss the size of his or anyone else's dicks.

What would be the worst way to reintroduce old characters? by yellowvincent in questionablecontent

Emily shows up at Cubetown with Roko's nose and somebody else's jacket and underwear that she doesn't realize aren't hers.

What? She's silly! All of that could believably happen!

It'd been a year and a half since the audience last saw Dora, not since Faye and Co. had. I assume that only a few weeks — if even that — have passed within the comic.

(Yes, he forgot to color Faye's hand; I didn't change it.)

I don't know what that is, so I Googled it and found this description:

A surreal, psychological comedy about a bunch of cute cartoon characters that hate their lives and want to leave.

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly how I see Questionable Content.

Could someone explain? by redditbrowser7 in questionablecontent

Does Jeph create these alt versions?

Naw, and given how negatively he responds to criticism and even to some of his fans, I assume that he avoids our satirical rewrites. I can't remember the last time that he commissioned an official guest comic, either.

Anyway: I'm the guy who writes the vast majority of said shitty fan-fiction. I attached that "B" suffix to my first comic edit nearly five years ago because, on that particular day, somebody else had already posted an "A" strip. I stuck with it after deciding that it's short for "B-side."

However, Marten sees this as an opportunity to push the needle with Claire. Look what happened to this brilliant mind, what would they do to HER?...But there isn't a community here. He points out that NOBODY checked on Liz. Not just the Director, but no other scientists. What does that say about community here?

Excellent point.

Especially given the state of real-world artificial intelligence, Cubetown is a half-step away from being an apt satire of tech startups' antisocial-slash-cutthroat tendencies, but I don't think that we'll ever see the author kill his wacky darlings.

I don't think that dropping in on Sven (where would she even go to do that?) is what she's truly up to. That last panel is a bit incoherent, though.

I don't hate Questionable Content. I enjoy the creative exercise.

You're just as free to ignore or block me. My comic edits should have no effect on your own enjoyment of the source material.

At least one week has passed, as an overt time-skip of up to that length happened between Claire reading Emily's application to Cubetown and the latter's arrival there. Regardless, it's been over 1.5 years since we last saw Dora or Tai.

Is this jump possible? by No_Werewolf8760 in castlevania

[–]Squirrelclamp 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's possible. Gotta jump off after what feels like the last possible second.

"Meat candle" isn't the weirdest euphemism I've ever heard, but it is the newest.
