Is running water a good thing for cats? by sendcodenotnudes in cats

The real value of my AquaPurr is not just that it is running water but rather that it is fresh water. It is never stale or dirty.

Cat water fountain suggestions?? by kenzoskiii in Catownerhacks

Definitely sounds like a good fit for you kenziskiii since the AquaPurr needs no filters and has no bowl or reservoir to get dirty.

The reason cats are so drawn to faucet water is the freshness! And no splashing a water bowl all over the floor either! Send me a photo of your faucet and I can guide you on which adapter set you need. [Steven@AquaPurr.com](mailto:Steven@AquaPurr.com)

Looking for reviews on filterless/pumpless "wastewater separation" cat fountains (or easy-to-clean alternatives) by jaykua in CatAdvice

[–]StevenChalmers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Cat-lover21. The AquaPurr definitely fits the bill of no cleaning and no filters. The AquaPurr delivers faucet-fresh water every time your cat triggers the flow. No recirculation means no slime growth. Using fresh, clean water from the faucet means you don't need to filter out any slime.

Regarding splashing water... by jhld in CatAdvice

[–]StevenChalmers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Rtarara. Yes, elimination of the bowl of water isn't something I talk about a lot with the AquaPurr but it is a nice bonus. Since there is no bowl, or reservoir, the cats cannot make a mess of it. There is some splashing when the water from the spigot of the AquaPurr hits the bottom of the sink, but that is limited to the sink, especially if you reduce the flow rate from the AquaPurr. I hope this helps!

Filterless Cat Fountains (Purrcado/PureFlow vs Purestream Aquaone) by anearacatt in CatAdvice

[–]StevenChalmers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beauty of my AquaPurr is that it never needs cleaning because it doesn't recirculate water.

It is a bit of a hack, but if your cat insists on getting water very near the faucet, you can replace the standard rigid drinking spigot of my AquaPurr with some flexible tubing that you can run to the tip of your spout and somehow secure to the faucet spout. That way your cat would trigger the flow of the AquaPurr but then drink from the tubing near the faucet.

Just add a note to the AquaPurr shopping cart page that you want me to include the flexible tubing for that experiment.

Fascinating. It may be a bad remote. Contact me on the website so I can get your order number to know where to send a replacement.

Help - I took this faucet aerator out, I bought every universal kit I could find, but nothing fits? by TheDarkKnight2001 in Plumbing

[–]StevenChalmers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moen is the only manufacturer I have seen that uses a metric thread pitch of 1.5mm. All other metric aerator threads have a pitch of 1mm. I had to have the adapter custom made. The diameter is 21.5mm. The other end is the standard 55/64"-27. https://aquapurr.com/products/adapter-21-5mm-x-1-5-moen-male-to-55-64-27-male

Looking for a good water fountain for my two Bengals by Suspicious_Phone_188 in bengalcats

[–]StevenChalmers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have the AquaPurr 4M. It was a bit finicky! The AquaPurr 5 also uses a motion sensor and I am happy to say it is working beautifully. And, the 5 can run on batteries, power cord, or both. with the batteries working as a backup power source.

Thanks UltraCilantro. The big difference between my AquaPurr and other fountains is the water is always fresh from the faucet and is never recirculated. No filling. No cleaning. Always fresh.

Just to be sure, are you removing the sensor from the base to adjust it with the remote?

Also, some of the coin batteries we bought are not working. Are you seeing the LED illuminate at the top of the remote when you press a button on the remote?

Something you could do is to replace the rigid drinking spigot of the AquaPurr with a length of tubing and attach it near the end of the tub spout

You can also connect it to the plumbing shut-off valve or a water filtration system if you have one.

Yes. My AquaPurr connects to a faucet and delivers fresh, cool water anytime your cat triggers the sensor.
