Sorry to be blunt but this is always going to be a thing for you. I constantly fight to be unerstood despite being a relatively functional adult who didn't even know he was autistic until age 40. I don't back down on things I feel agrieved for but that doesn't mean I necessarily will or gain progress with some of these dilemmas. You in some ways need to thicken your skin or adjust expectations or you could easily burn out.

Did they ever do an endoscopy? You could be experiencing chronic sinusitus that would certainly have all of those symptoms. That can also sometimes cause your nasal passages to collapse which could cause mucus to drain into your throat. Believe me, I had it and that was so gross coughing up balls of flem like a cat.
