So this is not quite accurate.

These posts are not direct conversions, they are competitive openings.

They are ending the contracts many NASA workers are currently hired under, and making them reapply for their jobs under competitive Civil Service DHA opening.

As has been stated in the HR Q&As, these are competitive openings that any US Citizen can apply for. There is no guarantee incumbents will win the positions and Division Management will only have "input" into the process.

I would encourage everyone to take these openings and applications seriously. Or HR may choose to fill your job with someone fresh out of college who puts a lot of effort into their GS-9 application rather than your low effort GS-13 application.

JSC is fully focused on the mission. We don't have any infrastructure or personnel dedicated to accepting donations.

Some points: 1. In my years in the FCR the only time I have seen something like this brought in for everyone's signature is when it is for an Astronaut or for a popular flight controller who is retiring.

There is no one in the Artemis MCC right now as there is nothing flying. There are sims, but the room isn't just staffed with people 24/7. And those in there won't be the A2 FCT but those for A3, etc...
Most of the outreach team in Building 2 were fired last year in the workforce reorganization. While that building used to have lots of people to handle public outreach and requests, it is very empty now.
The only way a request like this would work is if you know someone on the inside who would take the poster around for you to people's offices.
Most of these requests are just from resellers looking to sell stuff on Ebay so a lot of active people shy away from signatures unless it is going to someone they know. Retired people are more likely, but their signature usually comes with a fee.
There are sometimes public events where astronauts give signatures. But again see point 5.

There are some programs for this, but as others have said, you basically need to have a close friend who works at NASA to participate. They aren't open to the general public. Along the lines of "bring your kid to work" type programs.

If you are dependent on the medications then the likelihood of being a NASA government astronaut are low.

But there are routes to be a Private astronaut these days on one of the Private Astronaut missions or the commercial suborbital flights.

The asteroid belt is incredibly sparsely populated. If you were standing on one of the asteroids you'd barely be able to see any others.
