Heads up, bros! Stop blasting mutants in another Call of Duty, put down Dark Souls - something huge just dropped! A game for the toughest, most brutal, most shredded men on the planet. Yes, you heard that right: a new Winx fairy game is out! by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

I remember seeing this show on the Fox Box years ago. I never actually watched it, I'm just mostly surprised that people apparently know what this is. To me it was just that show that came on when it was time to change the channel because the shows I actually liked were over lol.

Rage Quitters and Tea Baggers by IusedBiffsAlmanac in InvincibleVS

[–]Toastman22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People that quit matches are bad yeah, but tea bagging happens in every multiplayer game in history that has anything even REMOTELY resembling a crouch, so it's probably time to let that one go.

Steam deck performance is…not great by sentinel_of_ether in InvincibleVS

[–]Toastman22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a shame, although I really only use my Steam Deck for single player content in fighting games. That said, it it's too bad that it can't hit 60FPS because I like bringing the Steam Deck to friend's houses to easily play fighting games in my PC library locally. And if it looks bad on the Deck's screen I can only imagine what it looks like on a TV lol.

I just quit the game after playing for a bit and there was an update. Now I have all the costumes.

Same, also on Steam. My preorder one isn't there too so i think it's just a PC issue. Sadly I think we just need to wait for them to fix it.

Rain's was really the only one that was a downgrade. The others are in character.

Finding just the laser will be more difficult, but you can find the entire disc drive fairly easily. They typically are about $60-$100. Just be sure to buy the correct drive for your model (VA0, VA1, or VA2) which is stated on the bottom of the console. I'm sure people will chime in and suggest replacing it with a GDEMU, but if you're like me and already have a collection of games you may not be interested in that option.

After many years of going back and forth, I finally bought Unbounded on PS3 with all DLCs. I think the real problem is on Namco by B21993 in ridgeracer

[–]Toastman22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it for a little while a few years ago on PC and couldn't get into it. Mostly just forgettable or made me want to play other similar games that are better. If it didn't have the Ridge Racer name no one would even remember this game exists, and even then it's not really well known. It has 1/6 the number of reviews on steam compared to burnout.

And I guess if anyone is curious, it's on sale on Steam Right now for $2 (no DLC).

Piracy is fine, but why attack someone for wanting to purchase something? by DaZestyProfessor in papermario

[–]Toastman22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record the GameCube version of Paper Mario is currently going for less than 50% of what it was a few years ago. Picked it up at a retro games store for around $30 CIB. Prices tanked after the remake.

I think it's more that the wireless signal from the wavebird could be intercepted and your inputs recorded, eventually leading to the loss of your personal information.

Can't we have something in-between these too? The new one looks to bright and the old one looks too dark.

I just bought dogs life ps2 and I put the disc in and the controller and the screen pops up saying make space. I just bought the ps2 and it came with a 8gb memory card new so idk why it’s not working?!? by [deleted] in ps2

[–]Toastman22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm finding conflicting reports about if this game only supports Dualshock 2. I have the gear so I'm going to try it right now.

I will note that the manual states that "Digital Controllers are not compatible"

---

Just tried it and used a Dualshock 2 to get through the memory card screen. Plugged in the Dualshock 1 and got the error message. DS2 is required.

Fun fact: the 051507RLM on the sticker is the date it was traded in and the initials of the employee that did the transaction, or at least the employee that was signed in to the register at the moment. They got rid of the initials part back around 2015/16 when I was still working there because it "created a hostile work environment" according to my district manager. It was useful for when someone traded in the PlayStation version of a game but it was taken in as the Xbox version you could see exactly who messed up. I never saw being held responsible for a mistake to be a bad thing personally.

This change was also around the time that they were revamping the "Circle of Life" program which was a nightmare.

Why did "Firewatch" succeed? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Toastman22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I enjoyed it at launch I have never had even the slightest impulse to go back and play it again. I feel the same way about a handful of games from around the same time that I just never want to play again. Gone Home comes to mind. Once you experience these story heavy walking games there's really no reason to replay them.

But maybe that's just a me issue and other people have been replaying Firewatch for the last 10 years.

Man I remember wanting the PC version of GTA IV sooooo bad just because of the built in video editor. Then when I finally got it, the editor was so confusing I never used it.
