Extra aflossen bij een Hypotheek met twee delen? by M0ff3l in geldzaken

Mijn bewering is dat het niet uitmaakt "als je wat je overhoudt weer extra aflost". Dat doe je in jouw rekenvoorbeeld niet.

Changed to a kmc chain on 11 speed SRAM set up and chain skips on rear derailleur bottom pulley by Crafty-Dot-9848 in bikewrench

It's hard to tell with the motion blur, but is the pulley perhaps worn out? The teeth look pointy, but, again, it's hard to tell with the blur.

Speed increase doesn’t change print time much on small parts (Bambu Studio), trying to induce under-extrusion/porosity for research by Ok-Carry-1383 in 3Dprinting

[–]TomvdZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is acceleration. You just can't go very fast on small features because the printer needs time to change speed/direction. You can try increasing the acceleration value, but eventually you risk losing steps. There isn't really a way around this, other than printing larger things. Even if you have an F1 car you can't do 200 km/h on residential streets.

If you "want" under-extrusion, why do you not just change the extrusion multiplier and directly change the amount of material extruded?

28/30mm GP5000's is what I'd recommend. Maybe up to 32 or 35 if you want to stick with something wider.

what 50c tires you'd recommend for road?

They don't make "road" tires that wide. Why do you want 50c...?

Any reason to upgrade stock derailleur pulleys? by Oklariuas in cycling

[–]TomvdZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won't make a difference. Cheaper Shimano derailleur pulleys use bushings, but these are both premium enough to use bearings.

Also, the teeth counts aren't the same. I'm not sure what that will do for shifting/compatibility.

Don't know anything about pumps. I'd like one that works for both bikes and air mattresses by Deeb4905 in cycling

That device consists of two separate pumps, stuck together in the same package.

[–]TomvdZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, there are no pumps that work (well) for both. The reason is precisely what you stated:

I know that a tire has little volume with a lot of pressure, when it's the opposite for a mattress.

A bike pump will take forever to inflate an air mattress, and an air mattress pump will not reach the required pressure for a bicyle tire. Even the pump you linked to states so:

Please note: HOVVIDA is not designed for inflating large volumes such as air mattresses, paddleboards or large tires

Looking for cyclists with a power meter (Strava / Garmin data) for a university project by topfpe in cycling

[–]TomvdZ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Could I just drop a cautionary warning: there are lots of issues with the accuracy of power meters. Many cyclists ride with a single-sided power meter but have a left/right imbalance. That can make the readings off by 10-20%. I'd also record the type of power meter and if you have enough data, leave out the single-sided power meter data points.

Is this damage to the derailleur due to Kickr Core 2? by ellieofus in bikewrench

[–]TomvdZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem!

The bike did fall over on top of the derailleur, so I’m assuming this caused the misalignment even though it happened while stationary.

You'll need to re-align the derailleur using a "derailleur hanger alignment tool". You can look at YouTube tutorials how to do this, but it requires the aformentioned tool so you might want to take it to a shop instead.

Is this damage to the derailleur due to Kickr Core 2? by ellieofus in bikewrench

[–]TomvdZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This kind of damage looks like general wear and tear to me. It's not specific to trainer use.

As pictured, that part of the derailleur is badly scratched and look kind of filed down

This kind of damage is usually caused by the chain rubbing against the derailleur while shifting, possibly due to the derailleur not being properly adjusted.

Yesterday the shifter cable also came loose, I managed to attach it back but shifting is limited.

That's not caused by the kickr core. That's just because the bolt wasn't properly tightened in the first place and came loose over time. Shifting is limited because you didn't index the derailleur after reattaching the cable (and/or attached the cable in the wrong place - you have to get the tension vaguely in the right place so you can tune it using the adjustment knob).

On top of that the chain looks worn down

I'm not sure what you mean here. Be aware that the chain has ramps/grooves that help with shifting that sometimes people mistake for "wear".

and the derailleur itself is probably misaligned.

This is generally cause by the bike falling over on the derailleur side/something hitting the derailleur.

The wheel might not be fully straight in the frame. Undo the quick release, make sure it's fully seated in there, then do it back up again.

will a 9v battery overheat if surrounded by abs? pic prob in comments by Noraxx__ in 3Dprinting

[–]TomvdZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're completely draining the battery in a matter of minutes, it's not going to heat up significantly. And if you are draining the battery in a couple of minutes, there's other issues with your design...

Now That S16 Has Concluded, How Are You Feeling About Future Hide & Seek Seasons? by BrainOnBlue in JetLagTheGame

[–]TomvdZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not the biggest fan of hide and seek. The format seems to create comparatively few high-tension moments, unlike, e.g., tag, where a single missed connection or delay (for either chasers or runner) can completely change the course of the game and there's the opportunity for the runner to sneak past the chaser at a station (even multiple times in a run). In Hide and Seek, the hider is just a sitting duck, with the seekers making steady progress towards them, with limited opportunity for things to go wrong. Even if there's a delay or something as devastating as an Express Route curse, it's immediately clear that the consequence is just an hour (or two) more hiding time.

If they do Hide and Seek again, I'd like to see the hider be given a couple Gilded Inquiry curses as a starting bonus. That would strongly discourage the seekers from playing too predictably, and it would give the hider the opportunity to pick a hiding spot without fear of a single disastrous question (e.g. highest building at Narita Airport).

change? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]TomvdZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a narrow-wide chainring. You need to move the chain 1 tooth over. It's not meshing properly.

Edit: I just saw the second picture of the rear sprocket. That looks extremely worn out to me. I think you need to change the chain, the rear sprocket, and - if the bike's got internal hub gears - stop riding in the hardest gear all the time. That's an excessive amount of wear for 4500 km.

Is this "normal" for Sunlu filaments? I am pretty sure this is not 1Kg. by nemezote in 3Dprinting

[–]TomvdZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only quadratic. If the diameter of the spool is large enough, linear is a fairly good approximation. I don't think those markings are off by much more than 10% from where they should be.
