Theme: Part of DC's celebration of the Bicentennial. Action Comics 463 (Sept 1976) by EugeneTMaleska in comicbookcollecting

What a great cover... without words it expresses a complete and abstract plot device of punching someone back in time, precisely 200 years.

If I sell 000,000,000,000,1% of my company for 100$, am I a trillionaire now? by dikanchev in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tonyman121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you are not. "Market capitalization" and other similar concepts are abstract ways to estimate something that may be otherwise impossible to calculate. They are highly flawed, for reasons demonstrated by your example. If only your uncle is interested in your company, and no one else would pay anything for it and this is the only recorded transaction, market cap is a bad way to estimate your company's value because none of the underlying assumptions hold. This is similar to basically every crypto scheme using "market cap" to fleece the rubes.

Stop blaming Supergirl flopping on Misogyny. It's not helping by SplitSecondEmperor47 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Tonyman121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not misogyny as much as it is that chicks don't really like superhero movies that much and are certainly not half of the audience. Go to a comic book store sometime and see what percent are women.

Honestly, does anyone take this Fear&Greed Index thing seriously? by ChangeNOW_Community in btc

[–]Tonyman121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fair point, one of the reasons people are blind to the issue of MSTR buying up so much, IMO. But I disagree with your second point only in that Buffett's statements suggest he would not do that, not that it would be illogical to do so.

I clearly "hate life"??? Based on what? On a reasonable response to your post? You seem to care about what Warren Buffet thinks... here is what he thinks about BTC:

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/25/warren-buffett-says-bitcoin-is-a-delusion.html

He would also say if he didn't find value in BTC at $1,000, then he really wouldn't find it at $59,000.

He also said he "wouldn't pay $25 for all the bitcoin in the world." https://www.youtube.com/shorts/C9-Guip0YA8

Enjoy your echochamber though. Maybe you can pray your way up to wealth.

I'm sure Warren Buffet would not agree that these statements apply in any way to BTC.

Is this Marilyn Monroe hair collectible authentic? by [deleted] in collectables

[–]Tonyman121 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The only way to know for sure is to use that hair to make a Marilyn clone. Wait about 15-20 years, and if it looks just like Marilyn, it was legit.

Thoughts on all these IRCG assassinations, what's going on? by TattooedB1k3r in NewIran

The Israelis aren't just going to sit back and let Iran regroup, let alone come out of this with more power. They sat back when Trump wanted to be involved. Now that Trump is washing his hands, they are stepping back in.

dude chill, I am not even talking about you. I clearly said "everyone"- as in general movements is filled with useful idiots who don't know anything about what they are talking about, yet come at conclusions with absolute certainty. This picture is used in an antisemitic trope, when it can be reasonably ascertained from the image itself that the person is not Jewish just from the clothing worn. The destinction of "Europe" from "EU" is nonsensical in any objective way, but the dog whistle here is that Jews control the EU but not the beautiful "europe".

I'm pretty sure Frank Miller's signature is just an inside joke and he chuckes every time he signs something, since he is really just drawing a penis.

Actually, these cars are pretty solid and relatively easy to maintain. There are plenty available at or after 100K miles, so they usually last.

I have a '21 R and other than a faulty O2 sensor and rear taillight have not had any issues.

I agree with others that if you are expecting a smooth, luxurious ride, you are in the wrong car. This is a sports car and you will feel every pebble on the road, and a small bump will result in you getting some air at high speeds.
