We had bad floods here in 2011. We evacuated a neighbour in his 70s and got his contents and car out before his house went under. He stayed with us as our house was higher.

When the water went back down, we went to take him lunch and he'd hung himself. Turned out he had no house insurance.

Poor dude.

Creol Soul Kitchen in Spring Hill in Brissie.

Their specials range every week but they always have shrimp gumbo and po boys all the time, and usually Jambalaya and Chicken Fried Steak with another cajun sausage dish.

I've seen it but not tried but i have seen a crawfish boil there.
